Israel troops attack West Bank mosques during Ramadan Friday prayer
- The Israeli army sets fire to Al-Nasr Mosque in Nablus and prevents firefighters from extinguishing the blaze, one of a series of attacks on religious sites in the occupied West Bank during Ramadan.
- It’s been six days since all aid supplies were blocked from entering war-battered Gaza by the Israeli military as fears grow over rising hunger and no drinking water.
- The US State Department says the plan put forward by Egypt and Arab leaders for the post-war management of the Gaza Strip is not seen as “adequate” by the Trump administration.
- Gaza’s Health Ministry has confirmed 48,440 Palestinian deaths in Israel’s war on Gaza while 111,845 people have been wounded. The Government Media Office updated its death toll to at least 61,709, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
More reports of Israeli raids in the occupied West Bank
The Israeli army has raided the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, the Wafa news agency reports as Palestinians celebrate the first Friday of Ramadan.
Silwad Mayor Raed Nimer Hamed said soldiers entered several areas around the al-Wasta neighbourhood and searched a number of homes. No arrests or fighting were reported.
Israeli forces also raided the town of Surif, north of Hebron, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.
