Is PAS distancing itself from controversial Razman?

GUNUNG Semanggol state assemblyman Razman Zakaria has reportedly been relieved of his duties as the Perak PAS Commissioner by the PAS central leadership.
This decision is believed to be linked to several controversies involving him, including a recent false accusation against Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan alleging her ties to YTL Corp.
His role is now temporarily taken over by PAS vice-president and Bagan Serai MP Datuk Idris Ahmad. However, there has been no official announcement from PAS regarding Razman’s removal.
Razman had previously apologised to several leaders including Yeoh, Housing and Local Government David Nga Kor Ming and Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, for making false allegations in his speeches.
In a Ramadan greeting post, the title “Perak PAS Commissioner” was noticeably absent.
The poster featured Razman’s image with the titles Opposition Leader of the Perak State Assembly (ADUN), ADUN Gunung Semanggol and Perak Perikatan Nasional deputy chairman.
Yeoh is set to take legal action against Razman, following his statement that referred to her as the “child of YTL” – a claim that has sparked controversy.
Through a post on platform X (formerly Twitter), Yeoh emphasised that slander should never be normalised, especially by individuals who hold religious beliefs.
“The truth is, Razman’s speech accusing me of various things went on for more than a minute,” she wrote.
Yeoh also added a firm message, saying, “Wait for a letter from my lawyer.” — March 1, 2025
