“We will see who is the real man now’ says Akmal with legal aid to the OKU man beaten in Terengganu

“We will see who is the real man now’ says Akmal with legal aid to the OKU man beaten in Terengganu

THE controversial political figure and UMNO Youth Chief Dr Akmal Saleh promised that justice will be served against the attackers of a man with disabilities who was seen getting a beating in a market in Terengganu.

“We will offer free legal services from UMNO Youth to the beaten man.

“This is to ensure justice for him and make sure those who attacked him receive the harshest punishment in court!

“Let’s see who the real man is now!” he promised in a video posted on his social media account.

Reacting to the video, a known PH supporter on X chipped in, urging Dr Akmal to ‘teach’ them a lesson.

“Teach those PAS followers a lesson, Dr. Akmal

“It’s good to teach them how a real man fights, I support it,” the handle @lady_bugg11 wrote, turning the matter into a Madani versus PAS battle.

Terengganu is under PAS and some on social media are suggesting those involved in the scuffle maybe opposition supporters, though no one knows how the story began and whether the attackers are politically linked.

Nevertheless, the story caught the attention of Dr Akmal who in a passionate plea, said the attackers acted inhumanely because the OKU person was dragged around and beaten like an animal.

The video has made the rounds in social media networks with many seeking justice for the beaten man.

According to reports, the OKU motorcyclist was beaten and dragged by three individuals at a farmer’s market in Chukai, Terengganu, on January 18, 2025.

The incident began when the rider, who was allegedly riding dangerously and disregarded public safety, crashed into a stall. We still do not have the rider’s version of the story.

After the crash, the rider allegedly verbally abused those who reprimanded him, threatening to ride even more dangerously.

Tensions escalated, leading to the rider being physically attacked and dragged away by the stall owner and two others. Police are investigating the incident. —Jan 19, 2025
