Now Tajuddin thinks aloud about Umno working with PH
Umno elections director Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has spoken about Umno’s ties with other parties.
KUALA LUMPUR: Umno elections director Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has not dismissed the possibility of his party working with DAP, PKR and Amanah, saying cooperation with anyone is not impossible in politics.
“Anything can happen in politics,” he said in reply to claims that a new political coalition could be formed between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan.
His remarks come in the wake of a previous statement that Umno would only work with PAS at the coming general election.
Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said last night that the statement was made by Tajuddin in his capacity as Umno election director. “Obviously the statement was made after he had visited all states in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. I will seek clarification from Tajuddin on what he meant for it to be deliberated in the Supreme Council,” he said.
The Supreme Council meeting on Wednesday will discuss Umno’s ties with PPBM, which have reportedly frayed.

ReplyDeleteWhy Menteri Jaga Kereta Wee KHAT Siong still so quiet after MRCB-George Kent complain to him about not being paid for work already done from July-December? Tajuddin is only a backbencher. Why so Boh Lam Phar, Buat Tak Tahu and Main Sudah Aku Punya?
ReplyDeleteDoes Wee KHAT Siong agree with Tajuddin that there be more direct award contracts to bumiputra companies instead of open tender? After all he was so hangat-hangat to cancel KVDT proyek which was direct awarded by Liow Tiong Lai and call for open tender.
Ha ha ha UMNO has to swallow the telur and work with DAP, how the tables have turned, still 42. Whoever dapat PM there will still be Melayu-lawan-Melayu, bagilah DAP DPM.....they don't main politik, can do the work...

PN govt wanted ‘direct nego’ HSR contracts, says Najib
FMT Reporters -January 4, 2021
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Najib Razak has claimed that the Perikatan Nasional government wanted to appoint contractors and vendors for the high-speed rail project appointed through direct negotiations, without interference from Singapore.
“The project was not cancelled by Malaysia because of Covid-19 as announced by PN,” he said in a Facebook posting today.
He said Singapore’s transport minister had told the republic’s parliament that Malaysia had not wanted the contractors and systems supplier appointed through open tenders. The tenders were to be jointly evaluated and monitored by the two governments.
He added that the Singapore government also did not agree with PN’s proposal to have the HSR end at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
He added Malaysia had proposed that passengers switch to an Express Rail Link train owned by YTL Corporation to continue their journey to Kuala Lumpur on trains running at half the speed of the HSR.
“Because the Singapore government did not agree with these two main changes proposed by the PN government, Malaysia cancelled the contract and would be paying compensation of at least RM320 million to RM1 billion,” he said.
As a result, he said PN had then decided to extend the ERL to Johor Bahru as a medium-speed rail project, which would cost nearly as much as the cancelled HSR KL-Singapore contract.
He added that the government had also agreed to pay annual compensation to the ERL operator for their expected losses due to a lower number of passengers now that the train project would not be reaching Singapore.

Compensation payable by Malaysia to Singapore now expected S$270 M or RM 825 Million for cancelling HSR - - all because Malaysia insists on not using the joint open tender system agreed upon.
DeleteThe sub-text really means Malaysia wanted its own closed, non-transparent award system.
Funny Ktemoc has totally lost interest in the subject.
Previously 2018 Ktemoc accused the Pakatan Harapan Government of Chau Khar for wanting to delay the HSR - for far smaller compensation.
Now, outright cancellation, and much larger compensation- diam saja.
Shows you Ktemoc is attacking individuals, Ad Hominem, and not the issue.
