PAS pushes for anti-Muslim LGBT taskforce, day after PM denounces hate speech
PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad is pushing for public support of an anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) taskforce.
This comes a day after Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin urged Asean to take a tougher stance against hate speech, including on religion, gender, and sexual orientation.
The taskforce, as revealed by de facto Religious Affairs Deputy Minister Ahmad Marzuk Shaary, will handle issues related to Muslim LGBTs.
The taskforce, comprising 20 members from various organisations, first met last December, Marzuk was quoted as saying by New Straits Times yesterday.
Marzuk also revealed details of planned amendments to Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act (Act 355), including making gender change a specific offence for Muslims.
"Secondly, social media content related to all acts of the opposite sex deemed indecent and obscene will also be placed as one of the types of Syariah online offences," he said.
He gave an example, where under Federal Territory's Syariah law, a religious officer can't take action against a transwoman simply for being a trans.
"The officer needs to prove that the 'mak nyah' is in a public place and was there for some immoral purposes.
"In this issue, our legal aspect is a little behind for if the immoral behaviour of the group is uploaded to social media, it still does not count as a public place," Marzuk said.
Commenting on the taskforce today, Idris (photo, above) said it was a commendable proactive move to "guide" LGBTs, besides strengthening and improving Syariah laws.
"We need to strengthen existing laws, as LGBT activists and icons are promoting a toxic lifestyle openly through social media.
"It must be understood, that strengthening these laws does not mean opening up space for hatred, but it must be done in an effort to prevent the normalisation of LGBT from becoming a culture in our society that can lead to the collapse of the family institution," the PAS vice-president said.
Idris, who is also a senator, hoped that the government's efforts to handle the LGBT will get public support so that Malaysia remains "clean" from any "uncivilised" elements.
PAS women’s chief Nuridah Mohd Salleh, earlier, said that there was no contradiction between the party's stance on LGBT and Muhyiddin's stance against hate speech.
These amendments to Act 355 are an "act of love" to "save" the LGBT from gender confusion and sin, she said.
A rights activist has said that if Muhyiddin is serious about tackling hate speech, he must start with his own administration, of which PAS is a key member.

kt notes:
Re Idris Ahmad kerbau-ish "... to prevent the normalisation of LGBT from becoming a culture in our society that can lead to the collapse of the family institution", he is a true kok-tokker. Since time immemorial the 'mak nyah' has been an intrinsic component of the Malay culture, hence we even have that moniker in Bahasa.
Just look at Thai TV dramas and movies where in almost 90% of the episodes, there would always be a Thai equivalent of a 'mak nyah' portrayed in them. The Thais are not hypocrites like PAS leadership to deny the facts of their social lives, style and culture.
Similarly the same lifestyle exists in Indonesia where the locals (at least those in Jakarta) call their 'mak nyah' as 'wadam' (a singkatan made up of wanita and Adam).
The real reason for PAS' incessant insistent insidious hounding harassment & hard-heartedness of the 'mak nyah' (inclusive of all LGBTs) is the party members' lascivious lewd lust to persecute, punish and prohibit. Their bully-DNA loom large.
The LGBTs are easy convenient weak targets for these bullies. Soon the ordinary rakyat will be next, whilst the paedophiles and incest-sinners of their group on the East Coast will remain teflonised.
PAS women’s chief Nuridah Mohd Salleh's assertion that the party leadership's proposed amendments to Act 355 are an "act of love" to "save" the LGBT from gender confusion and sin makes my toes laugh.
Where PAS is concerned there is no such thing as altruistic or compassionate love; indeed they would eff love save for the members' own benefits such as Audi, Vellfire and the alleged RM90 million.
The ultimate aim of the amendment to Act355 is of course PAS' plan to raise the syariah courts to the equivalence of the Civil Courts and thereafter to implement syariah laws to replace civil laws. The LGBT kerbau represents the first step in PAS' stealthy move towards achieving this aim, of syariah laws eventually governing Malaysia as an Islamic nation.
And look, PAS' associates, namely, the Jabatan Agama (JA) group like JAKIM, JAIS, JAWI etc are no better or even worse. Those organisations are way far out-of-control, moral-policing the rakyat in accordance to their own whims and fancies.
They have even caused a policeman to fall from a high building to his death in 2016 when the bloke was trying to escape a khalwat raid but by taking a perilous route.
Zaid Ibrahim referring to the dead officer said: “They are only human like everybody else, so they will commit the odd sin here and there. But must all sins be a crime in this country?”
Further back in 2006, we read in NST about the lustful leery lascivious behaviour of a JAIS officer who caught an unfortunate woman for khalwat. The following day the poor sweetie went to the JAIS office in Gombak in a vain hope to 'settle' the case amicably. However, she claimed she got more than she bargained for.
Said JAIS officer molested and forced her to perform oral sex on him as an inducement to let her off the hook. She also alleged the officer used criminal force to outrage her modesty by caressing her breasts and kissing her on the lips.

Was that lascivious lewd lusty JAIS officer ever punished?
This nation especially its Muslim citizens does NOT need such moral policing nor the exorbitant halal-certificating of JAKIM who couldn't even ensure Muslims get to eat halal and non-diseased imported beef, and for god sake, scarily, for 40 years of such failure at that.
Disbanding JAKIM will straightaway save the nation more than RM1 Billion each year.
And I bet Wee KHAT Siong will stay silent and continue supporting PN gomen with PAS in charge. Boh Lam Phar, just want to greedily hang on to power.
ReplyDeleteAnd they claim islam is a religion of love and fairness!
