Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah didn’t just embarrass himself — he humiliated the dignity of the korban ritual, animal welfare, public safety, and the office he holds.
This so-called leader grabbed a shotgun and blasted a perfectly calm cow in the leg during a Hari Raya Aidiladha sacrificial event, all while women and children were present.
Absolute madness.
The video makes it crystal clear: the cow was relaxed, not aggressive, not “running mad.”
It was quietly standing there until this trigger-happy fool turned it into his personal shooting range.
If the animal was truly dangerous, why was a shotgun conveniently ready in advance?
This wasn’t an emergency — it was premeditated stupidity.
The korban is supposed to represent piety, mercy, and sacrifice — not sadistic cruelty. Islamic teachings demand the animal be healthy, treated kindly, and slaughtered with minimal suffering.
Instead, this MB shot it first, causing unnecessary pain, fear, and injury before the throat was cut.
This is not korban. This is animal torture wearing religious clothing.
And then the man has the audacity to say, “I have slaughtered 24 cows, only this one we shot in the leg.”
Who the hell does he think he’s lying to?
If you’ve really done it 24 times, why couldn’t you handle one calm cow without playing Rambo?
If he personally slaughtered 24 cows by himself, that means he spent over 10 hours straight butchering them — assuming a realistic 25 minutes per cow.
Stronger than professional butchers with years of experience?
Or is he just making up fairy tales to justify his reckless cowboy stunt?
The math doesn’t lie, but clearly Abu Bakar Hamzah does.
This pathetic attempt to sound experienced only makes him look more ridiculous, desperate, and dishonest.
Stop insulting the public’s intelligence.
Firing a shotgun in a crowded public space full of families is not just reckless — it’s criminally irresponsible.
One wrong move and this “hero” could have killed or maimed innocent people.
Is this how Perlis leaders protect the rakyat?
By turning religious events into a shooting gallery?
True leaders show wisdom under pressure.
This man showed zero wisdom and maximum ego. Instead of solving the problem properly, he chose violence and theatrics.
This reflects extremely poorly on Perikatan Nasional — if this is the quality of their leaders, God help the states under their control.
Using guns on livestock for korban is not normal, not acceptable, and not Islamic.
A wounded, terrified, bleeding animal should never qualify as a valid sacrifice. The entire act is tainted.
If Abu Bakar Hamzah felt such a strong urge to shoot something, he should have aimed the gun at his own useless political career and pulled the trigger. 👍👍👍
