Israeli drone kills 3 in Gaza’s Khan Younis, five injured in Gaza City

The Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reports that three people were killed early this morning in an Israeli attack on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

An Israeli drone targeted the victims in the Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis area, according to Wafa, leaving three dead and others injured.

Separate Israeli shelling also injured Palestinians in the same area, according to Wafa.

In the north of the Strip, five people were injured in an Israel attack on Yarmouk Street in Gaza City, according to the report.

UN expert calls on Israel to ‘sever all ties’ with sexual violence perpetrators

UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Counterterrorism Ben Saul has urged Israel to respond appropriately to its inclusion on the UN’s listing of states that perpetrate sexual violence in conflict.

Israel has responded to its inclusion on the global blacklist by lashing out at UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, saying it would cut ties with the chief of the world body.

“Instead of ‘severing all ties’ with the UN Secretary-General for exposing sexual violence by Israeli forces, I urge Israel to sever all ties with any perpetrators in its ranks – and to prosecute and punish them,” Saul wrote in a post on X.
