What's happening in Shah Alam?

'Slight of hand' names changed on Shah Alam Stadium demolition

APR 03, 2024

The RM 35 million demolition program has started on the Shah Alam Stadium so the Selangor Government can pay MRCB RM 3.28 billion to redevelop the complex, when prime minister Anwar Ibrahim has cancelled Hari Raya open house to save money.

The original MOU (not a binding contract) was signed with Lembaran Prospek Sdn Bhd. an RM 100 paid up subsidiary of MRCB earlier in the year. However, on the sit itself MRCB is listed as the contractor to demolish the site. Details don’t matter to selangorians. The government just does what it wants.

Now listed as the as the head contractor is MRCB. Where is the appointment? Where is the agreement? Where is the tender?

Selangor is now liable for RM 3.28 million.

On the sign outside the site there is no contact details for the public to inquire. No plans for people to inspect. No dates of project commencement.

Corruption is taking place in the centre of Shah Alam and the public can do nothing.

Malaysia cannot afford this project in the current debt circumstances.
