Chegubard admits skipping police interviews despite being summoned
The Bersatu activist claims this is because the authorities did not probe his report against minister Hannah Yeoh.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin has admitted that he did not attend police interviews despite being summoned by Bukit Aman on several occasions prior to his arrest last night.
“I didn’t attend the police interviews because the report I lodged against Hannah Yeoh over a church visit was not investigated,” he told FMT.
In March, Badrul, better known as Chegubard, lodged a report against Yeoh accusing her of Christian evangelism via a programme linked to the youth and sports ministry.
The programme was organised by Impact Malaysia for non-Christians who wanted to know more about the faith.
It was reported that police had called up Yeoh over the matter and the minister had given her statement.
Badrul was also reported to have given a statement to police who also spoke to representatives of the NGO that organised the event.
Today, Badrul said he had cooperated with the police as he did not wish to be detained for a longer period.
“I needed to be released earlier and attend the Sept 16 rally, so I answered all the questions.”
Badrul went on to insist that his arrest last night was linked to the Selamatkan Malaysia gathering tomorrow, despite police stating that it was over other issues.
Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) director Shuhaily Zain said Badrul had been arrested after several reports were lodged against him, including over his comments on the Ambalat issue.
Shuhaily said that police had contacted Badrul several times to have his statement recorded but he failed to turn up.
Badrul had also received a notice, but he stated that he refused to comply, Suhaily said. Police then obtained an arrest warrant for the activist.
Badrul was detained in Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur, at 8pm last night. According to a PAS Youth leader, Badrul was arrested as he was going to attend a meeting on the rally.

Chegubard has burrowed deeper and deeper into the rabbit-hole of Bersatu politics, making more and more bizarre statements and claims.
