Cabinet unveiling delayed to 8.15pm
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had arrived at Perdana Putra around 4.29pm earlier.
PETALING JAYA: The unveiling of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s Cabinet has been pushed to 8.15pm.
A press conference was slated to be held sometime after 5pm, but an aide to Anwar has confirmed that it will be delayed until later this evening.
The prime minister had arrived at Perdana Putra around 4.29pm earlier.
Anwar had also confirmed that he will be unveiling his Cabinet this evening.
This morning, the prime minister met the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for nearly an hour and is believed to have submitted his proposed Cabinet lineup.
On Monday, Anwar said he would unveil the Cabinet “as soon as possible”, calling for patience given that the government he led comprised many parties.
