PETALING JAYA: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will decide tomorrow the fate of Zuraida Kamaruddin and 10 other Supreme Council members who were suspended in October.

An insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FMT that the party’s disciplinary committee would make a decision on the membership status of the 11 tomorrow.

According to the insider, the committee sent a show cause letter to each of them on Monday, mentioning the reasons behind their suspension with an instruction to submit a response within a week.

“I was made to understand that as of yesterday, no one had replied to the show cause letters.

“So, if they do not respond to the show cause letters by tonight, technically speaking, they can be expelled tomorrow,” the insider said.

The insider also said the disciplinary committee would issue a statement on the matter.

Earlier today, Zuraida criticised party president Larry Sng for being “immature and arrogant” in managing the party.

She claimed that party members had voiced their unhappiness with the latter’s leadership to her.

She also said that Sng’s “shallow attitude” in revealing internal party matters on social media as well as his “flip-flopping” statements had tarnished PBM’s image and annoyed members.

FMT has reached out to Sng for comments.

The membership of 13 Supreme Council members was suspended on Oct 28 for alleged indiscipline. However, earlier this week, Sng announced that he had lifted the suspension on two of them – Chua Lian Chye and Muniraa Abu Bakar – and reinstated them.

  1. I deyest Larry Sng's serial Frogology history, but in terms of this specific issue he is right.
Zuraida and other Bersatu refugees entered PBM and quickly attempted a reverse takeover of the party.
That is a sneaky move. You join a party if you adhere to its ethos, not simply as an opportunistic vehicle to be "hijacked".
