SEGAMAT: Parti Bangsa Malaysia president Zuraida Kamaruddin says her party’s wish to join Barisan Nasional has been receiving positive response from the coalition, though no official decision has been made yet.

She said some matters needed to be studied by BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PBM expects the coalition’s decision to be announced soon.

“Everything has been going smoothly. It’s just that he (Zahid) has not made an official statement on this matter so far,” she said at a rally here, attended by Edmund Santhara Kumar, deputy minister for tourism, arts and culture.

Santhara was MP for Segamat in the previous Parliament.

Zuraida said PBM’s candidates would seek re-election in six seats.

The six are Zuraida (Ampang), Santhara (Segamat), Larry Sng (Julau), Steven Choong (Tebrau), Mohamaddin Ketapi (Lahad Datu) and Dr Xavier Jayakumar (Kuala Langat).
