Mahathir wants to be PM again by any means, and not for just 6 months

Dr M explains why he wants to be PM for third time, and won’t accept being ‘minister mentor’

KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 — Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who has the distinction of being Malaysia’s prime minister twice, today said he aspired to the position again instead of as an advisor because his past successors have ignored his advice in governing the country.

“My experience is, when I tried to give the prime minister advice, they will reject me and will not heed my words. Just like former prime ministers Datuk Seri Abdullah, Datuk Seri Najib and now Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin,” he told Chinese-language newspaper Sin Chew Daily in an exclusive interview today when explaining why he did not want to take on an advisory role as “minister mentor”.

He was referring to Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who succeeded him in 2003 and who was succeeded in turn by Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Dr Mahathir later became seventh PM in 2018 under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) banner, but resigned about four months ago following the coalition’s collapse and was replaced by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Dr Mahathir is now seeking to oust the Bersatu president and take his place as the ninth PM.

According to Sin Chew Daily, Dr Mahathir said he wanted to be prime minister for the third time to “correct” the alleged corrupt acts under the Najib and Muhyiddin governments.

Dr Mahathir also told Sin Chew that he is not willing to accept the advisory role of “minister mentor” if Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim became prime minister, noting that Malaysian PMs prefer to carve out their own legacy instead of listening to his advice.

“The prime minister wants to show he is in control of everything, all the ideas come from him, he wants to leave his own political legacy, he cannot say: ‘Ok, my political legacy comes from Mahathir’,” he said
.

This old man is so desperate that he deteriorates into nyanyiok-ness or pretends to 'dunno'.

Note how he says: that Malaysian PMs prefer to carve out their own legacy instead of listening to his advice.

“The prime minister wants to show he is in control of everything, all the ideas come from him, he wants to leave his own political legacy, he cannot say: ‘Ok, my political legacy comes from Mahathir’,”

Yet at the same time he claims with anger: “My experience is, when I tried to give the prime minister advice, they will reject me and will not heed my words. Just like former prime ministers Datuk Seri Abdullah, Datuk Seri Najib and now Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin,” ... explaining why he did not want to take on an advisory role as “minister mentor”.

On one hand he concedes each and every PM likes to leave their OWN legacy, but on the other, other PMs who come after him must obey his instructions (which he of course terms as 'advice', my bloody foot).

AAB showed courage and brilliance in cancelling the stupid project (meant to poke Sing in the eye), but to Mahathir it was AAB's sin

And don't forget, for the 22 months before 24 February 2020, he was the 7th PM, so who ignored his instructions if not himself - tok kok.

Then, in another MM Online report, he said: “I will not work with him (Anwar), because he does not want to work with me, I have to find other ways to be prime minister, there could still be other methods,” he was quoted saying in the exclusive interview this morning.

Note his desperate grasp of potential to be PM (in his fury), namely,
I have to find other ways to be prime minister, there could still be other methods.

This old man is scary in his desperation, showing he lacks shame, decency and propriety in doing anything (not only reforms) just to get back into power, and why we should be afraid is because he has 3 things working for him, namely:

(a) his notorious Machiavellianism - note how he closed an eye to work with Anwar Ibrahim and KHAT-aSS, both of whom he detested and still detests. That didn't stop him from eulogising the DAP when he needed to, but in a revealed secret moment, he confessed he didn't like the DAP nor Anwar (which was why he wanted to work with a Malay Unity coalition so as to get rid of the DAP and Anwar. Not his fault if avaricious and idiotic DAP still wants him - Jeeez, but his volte-face unscrupulous hypocrisy - just unbelievable!

Thus, who is to say he won't work with even Najib, Zahid or Muhyiddin to get back into power to be PM9?,

(b) his very very very DEEP pockets which can finance his Machiavellianism etc, and

(c) his personal drive, propelled by hatred, vengeance, and bitterness.

There is nothing more scary and threatening than a cornered venomous snake like a King Cobra.

Once he gets back into the PM seat, there'll be no retirement, retreat nor resignation. There is no such legal contract to make an extant PM resign. He'll stay there forevermore, until or unless the YDPA (on the advice of the majority of the House) removes him.

  3. Toonsie is obviously a senile 95-year old geriatric who talks himself into circles.....yet we are all so afraid of him. It is us who are idiotic cowards. Since he fooled us once we can fool him back. Use the Old Fart to kick out PN and then kick him out. So what if he resigns again and triggers GE15. It is coming anyway..... even if PN remains in government.

  4. What Mahathir mean is that he is the only one capable of being the PM of Malaysia.

The 2 idiots in this drama are the DAP and Amanah..why they think they can enforce the 6-month agreement is beyond me.

Do note the desperation of MM - just think what he will do once he gets to sit on the PM throne again.

Let him fade away...let him rue his own stupid decision to resign as PM7
