Some in Umno uneasy over Azmin’s appointment as PM’s right-hand man, says supreme council member

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 — Umno’s Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said the appointment of Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as a senior minister in the new Cabinet makes him and others uncomfortable.
The Umno supreme council member said Azmin’s appointment as one of four senior ministers and his membership of Bersatu is a way for the latter to strengthen itself to the detriment of Umno.
“It’s a signal, that is not so good. We’re not comfortable looking at it.
“I feel it’s a continuation of Bersatu’s agenda and maybe even more than that,” Tajuddin told reporters at Putra World Trade Centre where a meeting of Umno’s supreme council is taking place.
“So, we as a political party don’t want to lose out, eventually becoming a small, inconsequential party. We want to help (the country) and serve it. That’s why we want to be in the government,” he added.
Tajuddin as well as another Umno supreme council member, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman, have voiced their discontent at the number of ministerial roles allocated to Umno.
He said the ministerial portfolios in question are insignificant and can’t help the public.
When asked if he felt the party should ask Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for a Cabinet reshuffle, Tajuddin said he would leave it to the party’s top leadership to decide.
Bersatu MPs only make up 28 per cent of Perikatan Nasional (PN) but have two senior ministers in Azmin and Mohd Radzi Md Jidin, who is the new education minister, in addition to the post of prime minister as held by Muhyiddin.

Azalina, on the other hand, made a strong statement directed at Umno’s top leadership.
She said those in prominent roles need to get the party’s agenda and concerns heard in the new PN coalition. She insisted that she will continue to voice her disapproval if she feels the party’s interests were not prioritised.
“For me, those who are frontbench ministers need to make sure the party’s voice is heard,” Azalina said when met at PWTC.
“We don’t want a government run by Pakatan Harapan (PH). Yes, it’s a marriage of convenience but Umno won’t stop being the eyes and ears (of the people), observing the government and questioning its decisions.”
Azalina said Umno have to remain on its toes if it wants to move forward.
She said the party should not end up like PKR who were undone by its own members.
“We don’t want cases like Keadilan where, despite them having many ministers in government, they were outdone by its own members,” said Azalina.
“As for the dissolution of Parliament, I’d say don’t. Give it some time. This is a new thing for Umno too.
“As the former law minister, I will continue to voice my opinion, especially if someone says anything that’s unfair or illogical."

UMNO dares say what Mahathir kept mum about. And the rest of Pakatan Harapan? On Azmins' elevation, they're dumb as a mute stung by a hornet - podah.
Dumb as a mute stung by a hornet? How about having something shove down the throat? Our politicians are mostly made up of dumbasses plucked from the sewage cesspool.
ReplyDeleteMan... what bunch of malarkey are you be up to? Wakakaka...
DeleteIsn't that Tajuddin guy the one who together with his beefy thug sons surrounded Karpal Singh on Parliament ground, looming threateningly over the poor man sitting trapped in his wheelchair ?
ReplyDeleteI especially love it when he declared.."We want to help (the country) and serve it. That’s why we want to be in the government ”. Yes indeed, he just only want to help and serve, that's the only true reason why he wants to be in government, albeit a backdoor one. How absolutely noble.
Oh yeah, way to go, no mutes here, hear hear, so refreshing ! That's the way to start a PN government, to serve and sacrifice their lives for the Rakyat !
ReplyDeleteLet's watch how thieves tear each other out to be at the first tier of the gravy train and if they fail to revive the economy with more stealing, they can always blame DAP, especially LGE, hehehe. Chinese are a real godsend to these entitled sons and daughters of the soil.
"On Azmins' elevation, they're dumb as a mute stung by a hornet - podah."
ReplyDeletePodah to Ah Mok.
Arse-min isn't PH problem anymore.
Why is Ah Mok dumb as a mute now on holding the PN government now accountable ?
Today evidences are emerging to reveal that Mahathir was actually in cahoots with Muhyiddin and Azmin. There is absolutely no quarrel between them, no betrayal no back stabbing by Muhyiddin on his boss Mahathir.
ReplyDeleteThe whole coup was a carefully coordinated process, right up to the show acting by Mahathir crying to his former coalition partners that he was betrayed by Muhyiddin. The 3 partner in crimes ( Mahathir, Muhyddin and Azmin ) had had their plan carried out like clockwork to perfection, which from hindsight, must have required months in planning, perhaps even as much time as 14 to 16 months.
Even now, the finale is still yet to unfold. At this stage, going according to plan, Muhyiddin, having been safely installed as PM, had gone to see Mahathir to ask for 'forgiveness' and in reciprocation, Mahathir, right on the dotted script, announced that the new PM indeed have the sufficient numbers and there's absolutely no necessity to hold a no confidence vote in Parliament as wanted by the previous government of PH and Mahathir has said that PN is now a legitimate government and that he has confidence of this new PN government. He now turned back on his words by declaring that Muhyiddin did not betray him at all, it is just that it is the action of his that betray the party's struggle. Mmm...try to swallow that baloney if it even make sense.
Soon, we will see that Muhyiddin will 'beg' Mahathir to come back into the party and be its Chairman. And following this, Mahathir's son Mukhriz, who still managed to hold on to his post as the MB of Kedah, will soon be given a federal position way higher than his current MB position. It is not by coincidence that the position of the Deputy PM post is now left vacant ?
These scheming actors all are used to getting their ways...unscrupulous, cheating, deceiving, with absolutely no principles or honor. And the majority Malays applaud such leaders. They keep saying that they have achieved their objectives in getting clean and decent people to lead. Their idea of clean and decent leaders are giving new meanings to the words 'clean' and 'decent'.
( this is my best shot at putting the 'puzzle' together the machinations of the old man having suddenly upped and bring about the sudden collapse of the PH government..and my guess why he sounded not a single peep at criticizing Arsemin , let alone reprimanding )
The original intended outcome of the plot was to have Mahathir remain as Numero Uno, with pesky Anwar and DAP all kicked out....
DeleteHe didn't foresee Moo could be even more opportunistic, seizing the opportunity to take the PM post, and abandoning Mahathir by the roadside.
Even now he absolutely has no blame for Arse-min, and minum on Moo.
"The original intended outcome of the plot was to have Mahathir remain as Numero Uno, with pesky Anwar and DAP all kicked out...."
DeleteYes, the takeaway is that indeed there's a concerted plot, most likely brewed by the 'oldies' with the front line henchmen MooMoo and Assmin coming to the fore to paint a picture for the nation's eyes, a very nice sandiwara. But the so-called 'gullible gubbies' an expression so beloved by our Ktemoc, are not biting this in the least bit. ( By the by, isn't Ktemoc and gang like his sifoo Rpuki themselves are absolutely gullible to buy into Jibby's claim of total innocence in 1MDB and the rapes of Felda, KWAP, LTAT, TH, etc ? Or more likely this too is a front, a wayang...these dedak mercenaries are most versatile, hehe ).
There's a split among the PH supporters. Some feel that Mahathir was the one in control ALL the way...that all had turned out as planned, even to the part where MooMoo took up the slack when the Old Man couldn't convince UMNO and PAS to accept him as PM8 with his Unity Govt. They would have trashed these out among themselves...what if Old Man couldn't swing it, that UMNO and PAS will withdraw support ( which indeed happened ), there must be a contingency plan for this and that's where MooMoo will put on his 'betrayer' act and quickly take out Bersatu at that point from PH to engineer a collapse of the previous government and get himself to be in the running as PM. This vacuum must be filled at all cost by 'their own man' before Anwar or those from UMNO/PAS rushed in to fill the spot. But all these are on the assumption that the yellow robes will use their power to give their blessing to MooMoo to be the PM, and the icing on the cake falls on Old Man to use his glib tongue and his crying wayang ability, reminiscent of his "Atok Sudah Tua" Act I in the GE14 campaign, all fully deserving of an Oscar.
So now we are nicely three quarter way through of this great act...the end is almost near, but the emerging result so far is amazing, to say the least :
1. PH is no more
2. Anwar is out
3. DAP is out
4. The legitimate will of the people's mandate is in the shit pot
5. Jibby and gang are out
6. Ketuanan back to its old glory
And no. 7, 8 etc are all happy happenings waiting in the wings to be ripened, hehe. Old Man and his old crony gang of plotters must be chuckling now, rubbing their hands with glee ? hehehe
This fitting commentary found on a social media site says what needed to be said :
"When state-directed abductions (and possibly killings) like in the cases of Koh, Amri et al did not cause sustained moral outrage and condemnation nationally, a coup like the one we just witnessed will be normalized.
This is a third world country in the worst sense of the term with moral and intellectual midgets calling the shots.
Very soon the communication minister, himself a shameless traitor, will launch the propaganda machinery he commands to sanitize the rodent-infected administration of the stench the country has to suffer.
He started yesterday. He’ll soon be joined by others from the sewers."
Note : Ktemoc, are you now taking back your support of that Umno creature whose mask is now ripped out, namely the current communication minister Saifuddin Abdullah ? hehehe
I want to serve the county =I want to milk my country dry.
