Spanco Sdn Bhd tycoon Robert Tan Hua Choon is set to appear in court tomorrow amid investigations into the company’s government vehicle fleet concession agreement.

His name appears on a list of cases to be brought before Kuala Lumpur Criminal Sessions Court judge Suzana Hussin tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Utusan Malaysia reported that the MACC has gathered enough evidence to charge the managing director of a government vehicle supply concession holder.

The report did not name the person or the company involved but stated that the person is a managing director at the company and holds the Tan Sri title.

The Malay daily quoted sources saying the MACC had also recorded the testimony of several important witnesses including a former finance minister and individuals from the company involved.

It is understood that the company in question had previously obtained a contract worth RM4.5 billion to supply and manage the government vehicle fleet for 15 years, from 2022 until 2037.

The media previously reported that the MACC had conducted an investigation and raided the company and residence of a businessperson with the title of Tan Sri.

MACC Senior Director of Investigations Hishamuddin Hashim confirmed that the suspect was being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
