SHANGHAI: A US military plane involved in a confrontation with Chinese aircraft in disputed southern waters last week violated international law and put the safety of Chinese pilots at risk, a defence ministry spokesman said.
The US military said on Thursday that a Chinese Navy J-11 fighter jet had come within 3m of a US air force RC-135 aircraft on Dec 21, forcing it to take evasive manoeuvres to avoid a collision.
But Tian Junli, spokesman for China’s Southern Theatre Command, said in a statement late on Saturday that the US had misled the public about the incident near the disputed Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.
He said the US plane violated international law, disregarded repeated warnings by China and made dangerous approaches that threatened the safety of China’s aircraft.
“The United States deliberately misleads public opinion… in an attempt to confuse the international audience,” Tian said.
“We solemnly request the US side to restrain the actions of frontline naval and air forces, strictly abide by related international laws and agreements, and prevent accidents in the sea and the air.”
China claims almost the entire South China Sea as its sovereign territory, but parts of it are contested by Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei.

The RC-135 is a lumbering military version of a 1950s 707 passenger jet airframe, no doubt full of surveillance electronics. It is hardly capable of fast aerobatic style maneuvers.
ReplyDeleteThe China J-11 fighter , on paper is a Super fighter, supposedly on par with the F-35.
If the J-11 found itself having to take evasive maneuvers against an unagile 707, EITHER the China fighter pilot is really badly trained, or the J-11 is in reality a lousy plane.
Mfer, there r multitudes of YouTube playing the recording of that encounter.
DeleteOoop… u ONLY listen (or smell) the foul lies spilled by yr idol! What happened to seeing is believing? Never applied in this case AS the facts go against yr idol?
BTW, judging from yr fart spilled against both military aircrafts DON'T u realise that yr impromptus know nothing is showing AGAIN?
Wakakaka ............ who is doing the "summersault" now?
DeleteThe Chinese J-11 wasn't having to take evasive maneuvers, it is daring to fly close enough to warn/force/chase the US air force RC-135 aircraft away without resorting to open fire as the RC-135 has violated international law, disregarded repeated warnings by China and made dangerous approaches that threatened the safety of China’s aircraft.
Besides China, what happened to all the other supposedly claimants of that disputed marine water?
ReplyDeleteLike a mfer, liked to fart - "no monster ball" to raise any voices with the intruding Yank who has zilch business in that region &/or legal claim. R they not disputing their supposedly territorial right in that disputed water?
Or voice against a legal contestant but genuflecting silently to a spurious policeman of the world!
All South East Asian nations know full well the Wankers make no legal claim on a single inch of South East Asian land or sea. They are just exercising the right of innocent passage or "crossing the road' as Hokkien say.
DeleteOnly China is bullying everyone else with exercising armed military to interfere with other countries in the region.
Wakakakaka…
DeleteCan u do more to yr twisted England expressions?
"the Wankers make no legal claim on a single inch of South East Asian land or sea. They are just exercising the right of innocent passage"
!!??
Then WHY the Wankers who make no legal claim on any single inch of South East Asian land or sea, are exercising 600x aerial spying trips as per 2022 with the masqueraded innocent passages in a territories that r none of his concerned & far far away from his own backyard?
China is only exercising his right of territorial claims in a disputed areas. All the other claimants have the same jurisdiction if they wanted to!
Mfer, do u realised that Vietnam has the claim of most of the islets, shoals, reefs etc within the western SCSea territorial water that fall within the Nine-dash line? & had China exercised any armed military with Vietnam (with the exception of The Johnson South Reef Skirmish that took place on 14 March 1988)?
What a mfering argument of exercising military to interfere with other countries in the region when China is just exercising his territorial right, even though it's within a disputed territories!
Haven't u heard of Vietnam/Indonesia/Philippines military boats interfering with 'foreign' fishing boats within the same disputed maritime region?
When China exercising his right, u fart impromptus. When other SEAN claimants interfere with each other, u just buat tak tau!
& when yr idol's navy warships roaming freely in other's backyard u praise as a freedom for peaceful passage!
Imagine a fully uniformed and geared Penang policeman just "crossing the road" inside Singapore, what the hell is he trying to prove?
