Temporary permits issued for 1.4 million foreign workers





PUTRAJAYA — Dec. 9, 2022: A total of 1.4 million temporary foreign worker permits for seven sectors were approved up to November 30, with the industrial sector having the biggest share with 500,000.

Construction was given 309,000, services 208,000, plantation 161,000, mining and quarrying 142,000, agriculture 111,000 and domestic workers 92,000.

And up till December 4, the home ministry had received applications for another 404,000 workers.
