PASIR MAS – Putra founder Datuk Ibrahim Ali has poured cold water on the Save Kelantan Alliance, saying that DAP will not resonate with the electorate in the state.
He said an overwhelming majority of voters in Kelantan are Malays and not usually receptive to DAP’s position on issues.
Earlier, Umno veteran Tan Sri Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, patron of the movement, said the loose coalition would welcome any party which wants to see PAS removed as the state government.
Members can be from Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan (PH), Putra, Warisan and other splinter parties in the state although it remains to be seen if Umno or Bersatu will join.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim blamed DAP for PH’s failure to make inroads in Kelantan.
“To defeat PAS in Kelantan, we cannot have those who are not welcome here. Unfortunately, it is DAP.”
He also hopes that Umno will join the movement even though Tengku Razaleigh is its patron.
“I doubt much has been accomplished though. It will not be easy to defeat PAS in its stronghold. The party has incumbents who have been here for the longest time.”
Among the issues that PAS is alleged to have left unresolved are excessive logging, poor natural resources management, floods, sluggish jobs creation and a slow development rate.
Among the leaders Tengku Razaleigh hopes to attract are Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, former PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa and former Kelantan Amanah chairman Datuk Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah. – The Vibes, May 2, 2022

DAP is like Lucifer in heavily PAS- influenced Kelantan.
ReplyDeleteDAP should stay out of this purely malay fight....they will be easy scapegoats if something goes awry.
ReplyDeleteMoreover with a pure racist like this Ibrahim Ali involved, it will be lose-lose for DAP whatever happens.
