Israel controlling Palestinian purse-strings ...

From al Jazeera

Israel has begun returning to the Palestinians some of the hundreds of millions of dollars in tax funds it had frozen for 17 months, hoping to bolster Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, while isolating his Hamas rivals.

Israel: Now, go kill some Hamas people!

A senior Palestinian official told Reuters Israel's initial transfer was $120m, a fraction of the sum held by Israel.

Israel: Kill Hamas men, then you get more!

Salam Fayyad, the prime minister in Abbas's government, chaired a cabinet meeting on Monday to discuss how the funds would be used.

Israel: Kill Hamas – they just bloody Palestinians anyway!

Riyad al-Malki, the information minister, [...] said that employees working for or allied with Hamas, which seized control of the Gaza Strip last month, would not be paid.

Israel: Good boy!

  2. Ey ktemoc just to clarify, this tax money - where is it from? is it from palestinian workers remmitting from israel or palestinians working in the west bank/ gaza and paying tax? either way its wrong for israel to be keeping the tax money but if its the latter then israel is seriously infringing on a sovereign nations' rights
