3-metres high tidal waves have just struck coastal villages in Aceh, Indonesia. Dozens of homes have been destroyed but but no injury were reported.
Many thousands from the villages of Tapak Tuan, Sawang and Samadua have fled to higher grounds, fearing the devastating effects of another tsunami.
But tidal waves are not tsunamis. The former are caused by full moon tides and strong winds while the latter are by undersea earthquakes.
