DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng today made public a letter he sent to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, where he called on the Pakatan Harapan chairperson to fulfil the coalition's election manifesto and start defending its supporters' rights.
The letter, dated Dec 8 and written in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, listed 10 key points that Lim believed Anwar should tackle to address the rakyat's trust deficit in his administration.
"With all due respect, I refer to the subject matter stated above and also apologise for my absence from this week's Harapan presidential council meeting.
"There is now a crisis of confidence in the government among Harapan supporters, which can only be restored through the formulation of new government policies that protect their interests without disadvantaging any other groups," the Bagan MP said.
Among the 10 points that Lim raised in his advice to Anwar include urging the prime minister to continue fulfilling Harapan's 15th general election manifesto promises, allocating 10 percent of the country's budget for bumiputera to the non-bumiputera communities without affecting the former's original allocation, and resolving Sabah's 40 percent revenue issue.
Last week, Lim shared his speech from an event in Penang, in which he said that some feel the prime minister has not done enough.
