“Save Indonesia”: Netizens jest as Tajuddin becomes its M’sian ambassador

EARLIER today, MalaysiaNow indicated that UMNO MP, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman is travelling to Jakarta later this month to begin his duties as Malaysia’s ambassador to Indonesia, confirming months of speculation on the matter.

Quoting sources, the news portal said that Tajuddin’s appointment to Indonesia as ambassador has received green light from the country.

Later, Tajuddin confirmed the matter with Malaysiakini, resulting in netizens from mocking the Pasir Salak MP’s appointment to the coveted post.

“They will have a good time poking fun at Malaysia. Tables have turned,” said user GGG.

User The Dream Weaver jested that Putrajaya was probably sending Tajuddin as envoy to Indonesia as Tesla head honcho Elon Musk chose to invest there instead of Malaysia.

Netizen Sharaad C Kuttan joked:

Inept people in important posts

In November 2019, Tajuddin and fellow UMNO MP Datuk Seri Ismail Mohamed Said almost had a fist-fight at the Parliament over allegations that the former had shared pictures of the latter’s daughter indiscriminately.

In May last year, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz removed Tajuddin as Prasarana Malaysia Bhd for lacking empathy over an LRT collision incident which injured 47 passengers.

On that note, user Kenny Chung said that Malaysia seems be “trapped” and unable to stop putting incompetent people in important Government posts.

“We just cannot escape the trap of having incompetent or corrupted people doing important stuff in our gov. Habis lah Msia (Malaysia is finished).”

Netizen Thanda remarked: “Please save Indonesia.” – May 17, 2022
