In case you have forgotten who Nasrudin Hassan is, he was the bloke who then as PAS Youth Chief made stupid sickening statements that abandoned babies (through illicit births) were the result of non-Muslim events like Valentine's Day and New Year's Day celebrations.
Malaysiakini reported in 2010 in its Valentine's Day blamed for baby dumping that Nasrudin Hassan had blamed the festivity celebrations on those two days as encouraging free sex that led to ... yadda yadda yadda ... culminating in baby dumping.
Nasrudin claimed: "It's an indication that the 'mating season' occurred during the New Year's Day celebrations."
Balderdash, my dear Yang Amat Misogynist, New Year's Days and Valentine’s Days have been celebrated all over the world, yet we don’t see our kind of baby dumping in those foreign countries. Why?
Tell you a bloody secret ..... because their societies are far more humane, compassionate, caring, supportive and most important of all, less misogynistic than the one PAS wants and together with those JA-organizations have insisted upon.

And please stop thinking and talking about sex!
Saifuddin Abdullah (prior to him joining PKR) had been one of the UMNO few that I like or accept as a reasonable politician, the others (in the latter category) whose names I could easily pluck off from the air would be UMNO headkicker and at times obnoxious minister, Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz and former Trades Minister Rafidah Aziz.
Poor Saifuddin was ABU-ed in the 2013 general elections. In case you might have forgotten, ABU stands for Asal Bukan UMNO or Anyone But UMNO.

While I admire and support Brother Haris Ibrahim and understand why he launched the ABU campaign, I did not support the ABU campaign per se as I believed (still do) that it was far far too indiscriminating a la a single Chinese bamboo pole sweeping down everyone in its path.
Hence I have often lamented the tragic ABU-rization of this politically-balanced UMNO man in favour of an ulama who blamed Valentine's Day and New Year parties as responsible for Malay single mothers who abandoned their babies.
In many ways I blame the mindless moronic mentality of some voters, especially non-Malay voters (yes, Chinese and Indians) who lashed out blindly, indulged stupidly in an Aladdin-like "new lamps for old lamps"* and allowed the unpleasant uncompassionate and unacceptable PAS Nasrudin Hasan to replace a good Malaysian like Saifuddin.
I wish ABU should instead be Asal Bukan Ulama, wakakaka, which of course you could argue I am wielding the indiscriminate Chinese bamboo pole and whacking Amanah as well.
Today the Malay Mail Online published Zaid: PAS better than BN? You must be out of your mind, in which we are informed:
Datuk Zaid Ibrahim today disagreed with his comrades in Save Malaysia and several opposition leaders that Pakatan Harapan should give way to PAS to defeat Barisan Nasional (BN) in straight fights in the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections.
The former lawmaker said he could not understand how such a formula would sit well with Pakatan Harapan when PAS and its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang have in the past indicated close ties with BN and its chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He also reminded the Pakatan Harapan of PAS’s conservative and hardline Islamist stance on matters like child marriage and gender equality, and even more significantly, its push to implement hudud, an issue that once tore the opposition pact apart.
“You want PAS instead of the BN? You must be out of your mind.
“How on earth can we support such a party? If it’s just to see the BN defeated and the Prime Minister embarrassed by such an outcome, then I say, think again. It’s foolish and serves no useful purpose,” Zaid wrote in his latest blog posting.
Indeed Zaid old chum, you're spot on. It's just that stupid ABU mindless mafulat-ish mentality which today has been given a new shine by Mahathir in his obsession to get rid of his current archfoe (no, not Anwar but) Najib (though Anwar is still a foe).

Mahathir has persuaded and perhaps even convinced Pakatan leaders to allow PAS to stand against BN without interference by a third party, to wit, Pakatan.
Zaid reminded us that “PAS is a party that only wants Muslims as leaders, supports child marriage and that believes women’s place is at home. It’s also a party that wants — above all else — hudud law to be implemented in the country."
He asked whether the opposition has lost its bearings, consumed by hatred so much that their leaders actually want to promote PAS in the by-elections when they damn well know what PAS stands for.

Well, we know Mahathir is so consumed by his personal hatred of Najib that he doesn't give a shit if (hypothetically speaking) PAS marches to Putrajaya, but what about people like Lim KS* and Ambiga Sreenevasan? Shame on their mindlessness.
* update 17 May 2015 - my apologies to Unc Lim as I erred in believing he had supported Mahathir's (*wakakaka) 'new direction', as reflected in MM Online's news Kit Siang: Voters will punish PAS in coming by-elections for causing Pakatan split
For more, read MM Online's Dr M, Ambiga tell opposition to go mano-a-mano in polls, even if it’s PAS where Mahathir's hatred has been all about making BN lose rather than ensuring Pakatan win.
Of course Mahathir's 'nephew' Azmin Ali has jumped in to sing songs of praise of Mahathir's so-called 'new direction' in calling for opposition unity to defeat BN.
Azmin crooned: “This is a new direction revealed by Mahathir, and this has inspired our spirit to learn from our mistakes in Sarawak. All parties must therefore return to the negotiating table to ensure the aspirations of the rakyat can be fulfilled.”
“What is important is the principle that we uphold and which Mahathir has also shown support for tonight, that the by-elections should be a one to one contest and we must take down BN in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar.”
Azmin made me want to puke in referring to 'our mistakes in Sarawak', and really, what 'new direction' has Mahathir pointed out?

Azmin should stop talking ayam jantan - that so-called 'new direction' by Mahathir had always been the aim of Pakatan, only to be treacherously reneged on by Azmin's faction of PKR in the recent Sarawak state elections.
But recall how an equally treacherous feral avaricious PAS had sabotaged PKR's Mohd Nasir Hashim in Selangor's Kota Damansara state election in 2013 where the combined votes of PKR (14860) and PAS (7312) (total - 22172) was more than the winning BN candidate Halimaton Saadiah Bohan of only 16387 votes. PAS' treachery allowed BN-UMNO to win that seat where the majority of voters did NOT vote for BN.
And can you guys also remember how PAS sabotaged PKR's Badrul Hisham Shaharin (Chegubard) in Sungai Acheh in GE-13 in 2013, where it was reported that pushing and shoving and even fisticuffs were involved.
Thus, there is absolutely no reason for DAP and Amanah to give way to a hostile and treacherous PAS. Only Azmin Ali wants to in order to protect his vulnerable position as MB of Selangor. That is his tactical objective, where 'tactical' means his immediate requirement, namely, to remain as MB of Selangor.
Additionally the Sungai Besar constituency has almost 30% Chinese voters which (if Amanah contests) will go to the Pakatan Harapan (not PR) component party, and likewise in Kuala Kangsar where the Chinese voters numbered around 25%.
PAS's good performance in the 2013 GE had been supported by those Chinese voters but they can be assured those Chinese won't ever vote for PAS again, so those votes will either go to BN or under the mahjung tables if Amanah does not stand in the two by-elections.
PKR under Azmin Ali won't dare to offend PAS and thus won't compete, apart from Azmin sucking up to Mahathir' 'new direction', and it's best if the DAP stays out after its H-Bomb by Hew about 'screwing Malays'.
In FMT, we get to read PAS and its depraved politics.
In case the Pakatan supporters don't understand the English word 'depraved' the dictionary tells us that 'depraved' means 'corrupt, wicked, or perverted' as in saying that abandoned babies were the result of non-Muslim events like Valentine's Day and New Year's Day celebrations which triggered off 'mating seasons'.
FMT reader TK Chua wrote about Pakatan's almost-willingness to give way to known foe PAS:

FMT reader TK Chua wrote about Pakatan's almost-willingness to give way to known foe PAS:
Can we see the irony here? It is “natural” for PAS and Umno to work together from now on till the next general election. It is also “logical” for PAS to plead for Opposition unity to win the impending two by-elections against Umno/Barisan Nasional (BN). [...]
Surely political process is not just confined to winning elections at any cost. Surely winning must provide meaning to the voters in terms of policy orientation, governance and performance. [...]
If PAS and Umno intend to work together, how could one be the alternative to the other? What difference could PAS bring to the table? As it is, PAS has already stated it is an adviser to, not opponent of Umno/BN.
Asking Pakatan Harapan (PH) to yield to PAS is really a no-brainer even if only PAS stands a chance to win against Umno/BN. The win would have provided no meaning to PH and would have caused no damage to the prime minister or Umno in their stranglehold of the country.
I think many are aware that PH may lose in the two by-elections this time. However, given the circumstances, yielding to PAS is worse than losing to Umno. There is nothing to be ashamed in losing. Regardless of the difficulties and challenges faced, political parties must always uphold principles, policies, governance and performance.
I think even a nincompoop knows that the call by Hadi Awang for Opposition unity to defeat Umno/BN is a piece of baloney devoid of morality and principle. It is depraved politics shamefully displayed for all to see.
But I have a sick-in-the-stomach feeling our Pakatan leaders (other than cunning Azmin Ali) have in their blind-as-bat hatred a la ABU become worse than nincompoops.
