Pakatan erred in making Mahathir PM-designate?

FMT - Make Dr Mahathir adviser, not interim PM, say analysts (extracts):

I'm gonna get all of you f**kers

PETALING JAYA: Several political analysts say Pakatan Harapan should let its chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad be appointed adviser and not interim prime minister, should the coalition take over Putrajaya in the next general election (GE14).

“It might be counter-productive in appointing Mahathir as an interim prime minister. People want younger leaders to be put in charge,” he told FMT, urging PH to name candidates who will become prime minister and deputy prime minister, instead of having an interim arrangement. Universiti Utara Malaysia’s political analyst Azizuddin Mohd Sani said the era of Mahathir is over and he might not be as effective as before in running the country.

Azizuddin said that though Mahathir might help to garner support from the Malays for PH by being named as the interim PM, the younger generation may feel otherwise if that is the only option on offer in GE14.

“That is why, I believe Mahathir can become an adviser for the coalition government instead,” he said.

Azizuddin believes some of the blame for the lack of young leaders in the opposition who could be PM candidates lay in the hands of former opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.

“Anwar should have named and groomed someone younger four to five years ago. That is why there is no one to take over from him now,” he said.

“Perhaps, Anwar thought such a person might challenge him. But now the situation has become a problem instead.”

Meanwhile, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) geostrategist Azmi Hassan said even though Mahathir was heading the PH coalition, both PKR and DAP may be suspicious of the former prime minister.

“This is because Mahathir might make decisions without the input of other PH leaders,” Azmi said.

did what he believed was right and f**k others' opinions

As for Universiti Pertahanan Kebangsaan political analyst Aruna Gopinath, the fear over Mahathir not wanting to let go might be an issue.

“Mahathir might become a domineering figure and not step down from being the interim prime minister,” she said, adding however that the PH chairman is a good administrator, hence would be suitable for the adviser role.

Good advice - This should have been PH's policy instead of making a desperado 93-year old ex-dictator-PM its PM-designate.

His age alone should be an impediment. Even if he lives to be 105, which I believe he will as his family enjoys the longevity genes wakakaka, he won't be as efficient and thus effective as he had been in his prime draconian years. As for him being an 'interim' PM, forget about that as he is an 'Old man of the Sea' who once in a desired position will never alight from Malaysia's shoulders, wakakaka.

According to The Thousand and One Nights, Sindbad … came upon an old man sitting by the side of a stream. The Old Man did not speak, but with gestures indicated that he wanted to be carried across the stream.

To oblige him, Sindbad put the old man on his shoulders, and waded across to the opposite bank. But when he stooped down to allow the old man to dismount his passenger refused, and suddenly tightened his legs around Sindbad’s neck until Sindbad nearly fainted.

Looking down at his rider’s legs, Sindbad was appalled to see that they were the legs of a brute, covered in rough black skin. The unnatural creature now beat upon Sindbad’s head and back as if he were a beast of burden, and forced him to walk through the forest … Whenever Sindbad tried to rest or escape his tormentor, the creature kicked and choked him into obedience.

Even then, during his better younger years, he f**ked up kau kau on so many issues such as BMF, FOREX, Memali, Maminco, Perwaja, MAS, tolls, IPs, crooked bridge shindig (just to satisfy his chip on his shoulder against Singapore), so on so forth, so what more at 93?

The above are quite succinct observations by political analysts and, from our unhappy experience of his draconian reign, reflect exactly Mahathir's likely temperament and characteristics.

Let me gather the above important stated fears of the terrifying Mahathir, namely:

1. Mahathir as Pakatan's PM will make decisions without the input of other PH leaders.

When he was UMNO PM, didn't he just do that? he was the convinced he was superior to others in intellect, wisdom and strategy, despite making Malaysia suffers humongous losses in in BMF, FOREX, Maminco, Perwaja, MAS, tolls, IPs, crooked bridge syiok-sendiri-ness, etc etc and severe psychological setback for the nation in Memali and Ops Lalang.

those killed in Memali
he lied about being in China at that time but was actually still in KL

He still does, that is, believing in his own superiority in everything despite being hammered badly by a Jew named George Soros, wakakaka.

George Soros

I don't WASTE money, least of all the nation's money

2. Mahathir is a domineering figure and will not step down from being the interim prime minister.

See my previous post Mahathir's legacy - a Greater Pribumi? in which I predicted that Mahathir may 'play out' the DAP by congregating the bumiputeras in PH to either merge or form a new coalition with his previous party, UMNO-Baru in a notional Greater Pribumi Coalition.

love to join Pribumi but alas, I'm not a bumiputera

That will be when he marginalises his bete noire Anwar Ibrahim and family, and the DAP and the nons such as MCA, Gerakan, MIC etc. Needless to say, he will have 'special treatment' in store for Najib, wakakaka, such has been his dark soul of vengeance (ask Anwar about that, wakakaka).

will he suffer the error of his dad who brought maddy back into umno?

I beg to disagree with above observations by the political analysts only on 1 point, namely, Anwar failed to groom 'someone' to take over form him as putative leader of PR.

Anwar had long groomed Azmin Ali but the latter is not well received by some in his own PKR party (among whom have been the Anwar Family) - see
Khalid Ibrahim to help UMNO win Selangor in which I wrote:

There exists between Khalid and PKR Selangor (and indeed the Anwar family) very bad blood stemming from the unnecessary circus between him and Pakatan Rakyat in 2014, after the Rafizi-contrived Kajang by-election.

power-grabbing split in PKR where above headed by azmin versus below led by rafizi

Years later, in fact in September 2017 (this year) we were informed by an angry Latheefa Koya that Rafizi had deviously and indeed unnecessarily created the Kajang by-election to elevate Anwar Ibrahim to be MB principally to block his intra-party foe Azmin Ali from becoming MB Selangor.

The DAP has also been another who have been wary of Azmin, perhaps because of his treachery in two successive Sarawak state elections.

Fake news again?

Well, this time it's not about gourmet-priced kembong or kerang for a "Makcik" suffering from anaemia - BTW I hope she's well now.

all above nil gst unless you're from Pribumi or PKR, wakakaka

It's about the Pakatan agreed PM-designate and his deputy-designate, namely, Mahathir and Wan Azizah.

dei dei, don't get carried away, you're only the deputy

It appears that it's not just a faction of PKR which did NOT agree, but also PAN.

NST reported: PAN communications director Khalid Samad however said during the weekend retreat, the opposition pact had only discussed strategies to face the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14).

He said, the report which quoted a source, was false.

Khalid, who is the Shah Alam Member of Parliament, urged the news portal to reveal its source to ascertain the authenticity of the allegation.

“I want to stress here that there was no discussion on who will be our interim prime minister and deputy prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the GE14.

“I would like to ask the portal to name its source because only then we can find out if it was genuine or just a propaganda.

“If they refused to reveal (the source), we will take it as a provocation towards us (Pakatan Harapan),” he said when contacted.

The report, which was published yesterday, also claimed that only PKR has yet to reach a consensus on the matter.

It claimed Dr Wan Azizah had agreed to the proposal in principal, but was facing disagreement from a faction within her party.

PAN is of course Amanah, which has been smeared by its Mothership as a mandore of the DAP, so much so that even in Pakatan it's generally regarded as a 'budak kecil' of no consequences.

It's a sad awful attitude because in Amanah, you get many intellectual Muslim politicians, people like Dzulkefly Ahmad and Hanipa Maidin, etc, who should be embraced by Pakatan as valuable resources to moderate the 'ultras' in Malaysia.

KT note: BTW, ever since the Islamic intellectuals walked out of PAS to form Amanah, PAS has been deprived of 'thinkers'. The split within PAS resulting in the formation of Amanah (PAN) has been more like a 'brain transplant' wakakaka which has been why PAS politicians walk around like headless chooks.

Anyway, the insulting word 'mandore' has become quite popular in politics ever since Hindraf's Uthayakumar (of party HRP) used it against any Indian politician who didn't meet his expectation of an Indian-friendly Indian politician, namely, everyone outside Hindraf, wakakaka.

Yes, while PAS calls everyone outside its party a kaffir, and UMNO anyone outside its own Malay-dom a pendatang (or sympathiser of pendatang), Hindraf too has its pet word 'mandore'. I dare not know what Sabahans and Sarawakians call Peninsular politicians, wakakaka.

KT note: Pssst, a secret, Penangites called Mainlanders 'kuoi kang lang' which means 'people from across the river (or more correctly, Penang channel)', wakakaka.

left, Penang (Island) - right, Mainland

how those 'kuoi kang lang' come across to Penang

examples of 'kuoi kang lang', wakakaka

Well, Mahathir and Wan Azizah being nominated as Pakatan's PM-designate and deputy has been the fake news, which Khalid Samad described explicitly as:

'... the report which quoted a source, was false'

and

“I want to stress here that there was no discussion on who will be our interim prime minister and deputy prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the GE14.

“I would like to ask the portal to name its source because only then we can find out if it was genuine or just a propaganda.

“If they refused to reveal (the source), we will take it as a provocation towards us (Pakatan Harapan).”

I know the portal Khalid referred to, wakakaka.

But let's move on to PKR where all's not well regarding the topic, where the Star Online reported:

Pakatan, during a two-day retreat in Putrajaya, had announced its formal proposal to nominate Mahathir as prime minister and Dr Wan Azizah as deputy prime minister.

The decision did not bode well with several prominent Opposition leaders, among which was PKR vice-president Tian Chua.

He said such an important matter should not be made by a few people and suggested that it be taken back to respective parties for further discussion.

The choice of Dr Mahathir and Dr Wan Azizah was apparently agreed upon by the top five leaders, or G5, of Pakatan on the sidelines of the retreat.

G5 refers to Pakatan chairman Dr Mahathir, president Dr Wan Azizah and deputy presidents Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Guan Eng and Mohamed Sabu.

I may be a 'Malay first-er' but as is rumoured I like, nay, syiok 'Chinese'

I have to say I have been surprised by Tian Chua's objection as he is aligned with Azmin Ali who is known to be supportive of 'Uncle' Maddy and ... wait wait ... I beg to go-starn (belakang pusing, ie. change my mind) about Tian Chua's disagreement with the reported pair of Mahathir and Wan Azizah as selected by G5.

While I still hold on to my belief Tian Chua is aligned/allied to Azmin Ali, I suspect his (Tian Chua's) disagreement could well be just about Wan Azizah (or could it be just her fan? wakakaka)

Methinks Tian Chua believes Azmin Ali should be the deputy PM-designate.

am depending on you, Tian

Tian Chua used to be totally devoted to Anwar but events and circumstances over the tumultuous years of Anwar could have convinced Tian Chua to re-adjust, which he did kau-kau, wakakaka.

HRH Sultan Selangor on Mahathir

HRH Sultan Selangor said of Mahathir that the former PM and currently Pakatan's PM-designated:

(1) ... suffers from inferiority complex,

(2) ... has deep hatred within him,

(3) ... wants to “destroy” the foundations that had supported him when he was PM,

(4) ... never apologies,

(5) ... is a very dangerous man.

For more, read MM Online's Dr M has ‘inferiority complex’, Selangor Sultan says:

Kaytee comments on above 5 points by HRH, as follows:

(1) I
nferiority complex - In one of the news I read about him, he made a sudden and quite unexpected confession, admittedly at a time of immense stress, that (in so many words) he had worked so damn hard to be recognised as a Malay.

I was shocked by that because he then virtually admitted he had (does he still have?) mucho inferiority complex about his Indian blood and wanted so badly to be recognised as a Malay.

When he was in his PM-prime, the public also noticed he never let off the West and whites but done so with much cynicism, sarcasm and a hint of anger plus bitterness. Were those signs of his inferiority complex showing through?

Rumours have it (I only heard 3rd hand) he suffered from humiliation and thus had an inferiority complex while as a medical undergraduate in Singapore. I won't any further on this other than to say some people claimed his dislike of Chinese stemmed and started from that experience.

(2) D
eep hatred within him - Recall and review his perceptions, bitterness, attitude towards and treatment of Tunku, Ku Li, Anwar Ibrahim, AAB and Najib.

(3) W
ants to “destroy” the foundations that had supported him when he was PM - No 1 and No 2 above could have led to No 3.

(4) Never apologises - Oh, don't we know that so well. I reckon he believes he was/is never ever wrong.

(5) A
very dangerous man - Needless to say, above No 1 to No 4 plus immense bitterness and anger over the lack of 'obedience' by his preposterous claimed 2 PM-successors.

[Which retired man in the world has two successive successors but only a man who believes he has never retired but remains a perpetual PM behind the scene; a man who expects 'obedience' and 'subservience' from his so-called 'successors'].

Mahathir's legacy - a Greater Pribumi?

GE-14 in 2018 may have many surprises.

But it will have two possible, nay, probable outcomes wakakaka, which doesn't require a rocket scientist to work that out.

Mind, one could be infinitely stubborn by forecasting a third (3rd), that of a 'hung-parliament', wakakaka again, but for convenient sake, let us ignore this rather unlikely though faintly possible third outcome.

Of the two most probable outcomes of GE-14, one will be that BN wins a majority of federal seats whence then the status quo will continue plus or minus some seats here and there.

Najib reigns supreme as PM for another term of 5 years, and Mahathir may call for UN intervention to arrest Najib, wakakaka a third time and more loudly.

The other probable outcome of GE-14 may be that Pakatan Harapan wins with the following notional breakdown of federal seats won by the component parties - let's assume total parliamentary seats remain at 222 with the same number of federal seats in each state for simplicity sake, thus the majority to rule will have to be at least 112:

DAP - 45
Pribumi - 22
PKR - 35
Amanah - 10

Total - 112 representing majority rule, with Mahathir as PM.

Dirgahayu Ayah

Meanwhile, breakdown of BN wins:

UMNO (including Sabah UMNO) - 68
MCA - 2
Gerakan - 1
MIC- 2
Sarawak BN parties - 25
Sabah BN parties (other than UMNO) - 10

Total - 108 with Najib told to leave UMNO, either to be imprisoned or go into exile, wakakaka.

PAS - 2 (wakakaka).

But with a Mahathir-led PH government, this is where the surprises may occur in that the new PM may decide on two possible sub-options when in rule in 2018, to wit:

Sub-option A - PM Mahathir and his Pribumi DOMINATES in an "inner core" bumiputera alliance together with the major part of PKR and bumiputera Amanah to tell the DAP to STFU.

Thus the outcome may be another de jure (note, NOT de facto) Mahathir government under the "inner core" alliance of bumiputeras consisting of Pribumi, PKR and Amanah [Mahathir's 77 thumps the DAP's 45].

Dirgahayu Melayu dan Ayah Mahathir.

If DAP merajuk and leaves the ruling coalition to be an independent non-aligned political party, then it will be back to its 1972-3 status when it refused to join Tun Razak's newly formed Barison Nasional (BN). What may happen next will be irrelevant to the Rocket Party, but the next sub-option may provide glimpses of possibilities.

Sub-option B - Mahathir forms a completely newer (wakakaka) alliance, uniting his Pribumi (25) with his UMNO Baru (68) plus Sarawak BN parties (25) plus some of PKR including Azmin Ali (say, 20 out of 35) = total of 138 to form a Greater Pribumi tulin coalition to rule.

If it wants to have a 2/3 majority of 148 in federal parliament it will require another 10 seats.

But the new new opposition will be the dumped-by-Mahathir's DAP (45) plus the remaining PKR including the Anwar family (15) plus Amanah (10) = total of 70.

There will always be 'Others', wakakaka, of PAS (2) plus MCA (2) plus Gerakan (1) plus MIC (2) plus Sabah (10 non-UMNO) = 17.

Incidentally PAS and the Sabah parties can provide Mahathir with the 12 to attain 2/3 majority in parliament, wakakaka.

Thus Mahathir's new newest ruling coalition, namely Greater Pribumi, will rule with 134 majority in federal parliament.

His Majesty's 'loyal opposition' (wakakaka) will be Sabah parties, PAS, 45 DAP, Amanah, a faction of pro-Anwar PKR plus MCA/Gerakan/MIC.

RPK in Malaysia-Today narrated another couple of scenarios, that of a minority government as follows:

Let us say Barisan Nasional wins 110 seats in Parliament while DAP wins 50 seats, PKR 40, PPBM 10 and PAN 12. The total for DAP, PKR, PPBM and PAN may be 112 parliament seats but Pakatan Harapan is not legally registered so they cannot claim that Pakatan Harapan won 112 seats versus only 110 for Barisan Nasional. It will be 110 Barisan Nasional seats versus 50 seats for DAP, 40 for PKR, 10 for PPBM and 12 for PAN.

Even if Barisan Nasional wins 111 seats it will be 111 versus four other parties totalling 111 seats and not 111 for Barisan Nasional versus 111 for Pakatan Harapan. So, with 111 seats, Barisan Nasional gets to form the government since DAP has only 50 seats, PKR 40, PPBM 10 and PAN 11.

What RPK has said in his 1st paragraph above is that HM the Agong may be persuaded that an unregistered PH with its non-united multiple parties, will not be a stable enough political coalition, nay, 'combination' (NOT 'coalition') to command his royal confidence that it can form a workable federal government. HM then may look towards the BN with only 110 seats to form a 'more stable' minority government.

That will be doable as it has happened overseas in other nations with Westminster parliamentary system, though it will be difficult going for the minority government. However, with Malaysia's Gurun-ised DNA, that difficulty won't be for long, wakakaka.

RPK's 2nd paragraph above is a variation of his 1st paragraph (and my 3rd faint outcome - see top, wakakaka), that of a 'hung parliament' but where HM will again be persuaded that an unregistered PH won't be stable enough.

But leaving RPK's scenarios aside for now, the Greater Pribumi coalition of bumiputeras-only under Emperor Mahafiraun and Crown Prince Mukhriz will govern Malaysia even without the Islamic parties of PAS and Amanah. The last may prove to be 'attractive' to some non-Muslim MPs who may be allowed to join Greater Pribumi as 'associates', wakakaka.

Mahathir may not even be with us for long but he will institute 'structures' and again, with 2/3 majority in parliament with the 'help' of PAS and the Sabah non-UMNO parties, amend the Constitution to concretise his 'structures' as well as kowtim-rise DAP, the Anwar-faction of PKR and, possibly as quid pro quo for PAS' 'help', Amanah.

That will be his Legacy for his Pribumi.

The Anwar-family will be given the option of going into exile or face further incarceration.

Meanwhile, Lim Kit Siang will be expelled from DAP for his rancid Hokkien Mee and detested by non-Malay Malaysians forevermore. That will be his sad swansong.

but .. but ... but ... kaytee, you forgot me

Covert task of Khalid Ibrahim

Two days ago I penned Khalid Ibrahim to help UMNO win Selangor in which I mentioned Khalid Ibrahim's plan to campaign for BOTH UMNO and PAS.

As I had mentioned, that would be his due right and something we should expect and even respect, considering he was done badly by PKR.

I also said notwithstanding PKR doing him badly, I had agreed with his removal as MB Selangor because of his conservative business attitude which was lukewarm towards the rakyat, where PSM described him best (or worst for Khalid) as an unfriendly Towkay Guthrie.

let them eat kueh-mueh lah

He now has a more covert task besides campaigning for both PAS and UMNO. In reality his plan to campaign for both parties, while true, has been a very clever cover up for his 'task' to unite the two parties in GE-14 against Pakatan Harapan.

Maybe he may even demonstrate his signature action of conducting a 'dawn raid' on PKR to siphon more 'assets' across the political divide before even Azmin can put on his sarong, wakakaka.

It's known that Khalid still has his loyal supporters in PKR who have been lying low since Towkay Guthrie left with much animosity towards PKR.
