KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has blocked three transactions amounting to about US$115.3 million (RM486.4 million) held in Swiss bank accounts belonging to an individual identified as “Prince Turki Abdullah Abdulaziz Al-Saud”, according to Free Malaysia Today (FMT).

In a statement today, MACC said the Kuala Lumpur High Court had issued a restraining order to block the transactions under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (Amla).

According to the anti-graft agency, the application was based on information received in 2011 that the account holder had received, transferred and used proceeds from misappropriated 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) funds through his bank accounts.

According to FMT the frozen funds were reportedly kept in two JP Morgan accounts and one UBS Switzerland account.
