I have not heard about any cabinet reshuffle, quips PM

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has denied rumours of a cabinet reshuffle.
Speaking to reporters after launching the Malaysian Commercialisation Year Summit 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today, Anwar said he has yet to hear anything about the reshuffle of the government leadership.
“I have just been told (about this news). How did I not hear about it yet?" he quipped.
“Who will help to reshuffle? Seriously, I have not heard (about the matter).”
Anwar’s response came after a Free Malaysia Today report citing a “well-placed source” that a prominent PKR minister is allegedly at risk of being transferred to another ministry or dropped from the cabinet due to performance issues.
The news portal also reported that a menteri besar is allegedly expected to assume a ministerial position.
It also quoted a source from DAP as saying that the alleged cabinet shake-up might happen by the end of the month, with a few deputy ministers likely to be promoted to full ministerial positions.

The cabinet, which was reshuffled last December, saw V Sivakumar dropped from the line-up entirely, while several ministers changed portfolios or had their ministries split up.
Anwar now has former EPF chairperson Amir Hamzah Azizan as the second finance minister, while Gobind Singh Deo, Dzulkefly Ahmad, and Johari Abdul Ghani were also roped back in as ministers.
The number of ministers rose by three from 28 to 31, and deputy ministers increased from 27 to 29.
Asked if the rumours that a menteri besar will helm a ministerial post as alleged by the report, Anwar today said in jest, “It could happen after the general election, God willing.”
Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he was oblivious to the matter.
“This is beyond my knowledge. The prime minister has yet to mention this to me,” Berita Harian reported him as saying after attending an event in Gua Musang, Kelantan.
