Israel’s war on Gaza: Israeli attacks kill more than 80 in 24 hours

Israeli forces kill children in Gaza City, Khan Younis

There have been numerous casualties in the past few hours as Israel has intensified attacks across Gaza.

Four people including three children have been killed in Israeli bombardment near a school in Gaza City’s Remal neighbourhood, our colleagues on the ground report.

Meanwhile, in central Gaza, an elderly Palestinian was killed in Israeli bombing that targeted a house west of the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Further south, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said Israeli forces killed four people – three children and a woman – and wounded more than 10 people when it targeted a house in the Abasan al-Kabira area in the Khan Younis governorate.

It added that Israeli forces committed four massacres on families in the past 24 hours.

  • ‘Why do they target us when we are innocent people?’

Israel’s military continues to attack the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza with at least eight Palestinians killed there today.

Thousands of displaced people are sheltering in the camp with no other place to flee during Israel’s relentless assault.

“Why do they target us when we are innocent people?” asked Umm Mohammed al-Hasanat, sheltering with her family at a UN-run school in Nuseirat, which was among those hit in recent days.

“We do not carry weapons but are just sitting and trying to find safety for ourselves and our children.”
