‘I'll reveal what he's smoking' - Bung hits back at Khairy
Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin has hit out against former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin who recently called him an enemy of public health for opposing the anti-smoking bill.
The New Straits Times reported that an angry Bung said he would reveal to the public just what Khairy was smoking.
"Who is KJ? He no longer has a platform, all he is is a radio announcer, and he is just a 'hantu raya'.
"He tabled a law that takes away the rights of the people (to smoke).
"He wants people to stop smoking but ask him… what is he smoking?" said Bung in a response to the former Rantau MP's remarks, which criticised Bung for opposing the Control of Smoking Product for Public Health Bill 2023.
Bung said he would reveal what Khairy was "smoking" in Parliament when the bill is tabled on June 12, saying that he would make the announcement in the Dewan Rakyat where he enjoyed immunity.

"Who is he to judge people? Is he friendly to public health?" Bung added.
Khairy yesterday hit out at Bung on his Instagram, labelling the latter as an "enemy of public health" for opposing the bill.
Last year, an earlier version of the bill, then named the Control of Tobacco Product and Smoking Bill 2022, was tabled in Parliament when Khairy was health minister, but did not make it through. It included the generational end-game smoking ban provision.
