Zahid’s daughter cries ‘ethical breaches’ after losing division polls
Nurul Hidayah Ahmad Zahid claims there were undue influences that tried to manipulate the election for the Bagan Datuk Wanita Umno chief.

PETALING JAYA: Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s daughter, Nurul Hidayah, claims there were “ethical breaches” involving undue influences that led to her losing the race for the post of Wanita Umno chief in the Bagan Datuk division.
She posted several screenshots of WhatsApp conversations to support her claim.
Among the screenshots were purported “instructions” for delegates to vote for the incumbent, Zarozatin Isa, which Nurul Hidayah said was clearly an effort to manipulate the election results.
She said the person behind the messages, sent on the night of polling, had been identified and that the matter had been brought to the party’s election committee.
“My fight isn’t over yet. I have not lost, but I just haven’t won yet,” she said, claiming that she has obtained 115 votes while Zarozatin has 133.
There are 268 eligible delegates voting for the Bagan Datuk Wanita Umno chief’s post.
Despite losing the race to become the Bagan Datuk Wanita Umno chief, Nurul Hidayah was elected into the central executive council of the women’s wing.
