Nik Abduh to contest under BN ticket?
The political landscape in Kelantan is heating up ahead of nomination day this Saturday, with talks of two incumbent PAS MPs planning to contest GE15 under BN after being exempted from their party's candidates list.
The duo is reported to be incumbent Bachok MP Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz and incumbent Tumpat MP Che Abdullah Mat Nawi, according to Berita Harian.
If confirmed, Nik Abduh (above), who is the son of former PAS spiritual adviser Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, would be facing off against PAS candidate Dr Wan Martina Wan Yusoff for the Bachok seat.
Che Abdullah, meanwhile, would go up against Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Idris Ahmad in Tumpat.
Speculations about Nik Abduh's exclusion from PAS' candidates list thickened after he uploaded a picture of a "blue" Earth on Facebook yesterday.
He followed the post with a cryptic poem on “rotating Earth, the decaying green, sustenance for humans, and the wonders of nature”, among other things.
For the record, blue is the colour synonymous with BN, while PAS’ party colour is green.
The post received mixed reactions from netizens, with some expressing support for him, and others taking a swipe instead.
Earlier today, a PAS leader played coy when asked about the possible message behind Nik Abduh's posting.
"I don't know and I'm not good at interpreting," party vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah was quoted as saying by Berita Harian, urging the reporter to ask Nik Abduh instead.
