When in crisis, establish committees; Najib mocks Muhyiddin
FORMER prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took a pot shot at National Recovery Council (MPN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for his apparent obsession is “forming committees” to resolve problems.
“To solve a problem, Muhyiddin will establish several committees. Then, he will organise a national level MPN gathering to discuss the matter by inviting experts to give their views.
“Once, he gets their input and recommendation, only then he will present it to the Government,” he said, in a Facebook post.
Yesterday, Muhyiddin said he would study ideas that can be presented to the Government to address soaring inflation and rising cost of living, at the council’s meeting scheduled later this month.
“As the chairman, I will look into the matter and for follow up, we will establish several teams to look into how to address the matter as every sector are different.
“Some sectors are recovering fast while others are not. Among the challenge facing businesses are cash flow issues and banking.
“As such, we will be organising a national level MPN meeting and get several experts to present their views on how to resolve the problem,” The Malaysian Insight reported the Pagoh MP as saying. – June 12, 2022
Like the Royal Commisions of Inquiry held so far, these committees will end up only as public show of shiok sendiri.
