Guess PKR needs a forensic audit first, Najib mocks

FORMER prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak mocked PKR and said that the party is the one that needed a forensic audit badly instead of Sapura Energy Bhd (SEB).

“In the past, they keep claiming that Barisan Nasional (BN) had bribed voters but later it was alleged that PKR leaders did it to their voters.

“And then they claimed BN used 40,000 phantom voters for elections but now, it seems that there were 54,000 phantom voters in their recently concluded party polls.

“Its president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim keeps calling for a forensic audit to be conducted on SEB but it looks like PKR needs it first,” he said, in a Facebook post.

On May 10, PKR deputy president claimed that there around 54,000 “dubious” party members who had been listed voters for its party polls.

Soon after the party polls, several PKR leaders urged the party election committee to conduct a forensic audit over discrepancies in the voting system in several branches.

Yesterday, PKR announced that it has annulled Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok’s win as the Ampang division chief following irregularities.

“And according to Clause 9.3 of the party constitution, we will be holding fresh polls for the division on June 29,” said its elections committee chair, Dr Zaliha Mustafa. – June 25, 2022

  1. Najib once mocked PKR as Parti Kurang Relevan.... not realising PKR would eventually be the principal instrument for his loss of his heirloom...the Prime Minister's position, as well as UMNO's grip as the Ruling Party.
