KUALA LUMPUR: Seven men have been arrested in Bandar Manjalara, Kepong, and Batu Caves for selling cannabis cookies via social media.
Sentul district police chief Beh Eng Lai said a 21-year-old suspect was arrested in a Bandar Manjarala condominium on Wednesday and interrogation led to the arrest of six others.
He said the cookies, produced around the Klang Valley, were sold in a six-piece pack weighing 230 grams for RM100.
“We raided the condominium and found two packets with ‘Happiness Begins with a Wonder Cake’ sticker,” he said.
A total of 25kg of cannabis, 2.8kg of ecstasy pills, RM6,000 in cash, and five jewellery items were seized. The total value came to RM248,490, he added.
Three of the seven suspects tested positive for drugs and four of the seven suspects were found to have previous drug-related offences on record.
