Fancy having an exhilarating Valentine’s date experience with Pui Yi?
STINGING backlash from some old school listeners should not dissuade radio station Fly FM to call off its Valentine’s date promotional gimmick that features a date with home-grown Penthouse sensation Siew Pui Yi.
After all, life is about choices and morality takes many shapes and sizes. In the words of famed yet controversial Malaysian cosmetic mogul Nur Sajat, those who hide behind the veil of religious headgears are in fact the most corrupt people in the world for what they preach is never reflected in their actions.
Hence, there is no harm to get up close and personal with the 23 year-old enterprising millennial simply because such an encounter can offer a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.
After all, making the cut to be featured on the front cover of the January 2022 edition of adult lifestyle Penthouse magazine is not about one’s preparedness to bare all or be gutsy but the said model must possess poise, charm, charisma and above all, a story to tell.
But back to the Fly FM promotional gimmick where critics claimed that Pui Yi is not a suitable personality to be featured on national radio due to her risqué image.
“You are a national radio station followed by people of all ages, why are you promoting such an indecent figure?” an Instagram user commented.
“Young kids are following your page,” another user reiterated. One user said they “received a massive shock” when they viewed her profile.
Fly FM has since rewritten their caption to say that the winner of the giveaway will get a chance to “hang out” with Pui Yi and DJ Ryan Matjeraie on Feb 14 (Monday) at the radio station in Bandar Utama.
Despite the backlash, some so-called fans feedback that they do not see anything wrong with Fly FM’s promotional gimmick. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, hence it is the mind that dictate whether an act is lewd or otherwise.
Moreover, Pui Yi is only leading “a straight forward life” without hurting others or even “siphoning the nation’s wealth by indulging in corrupt practices”. – Feb 11, 2022
