Maszlee to contest Layang-Layang seat in Johor polls
Maszlee Malik is the only MP from PKR who will be contesting in the March 12 polls.
PETALING JAYA: Simpang Renggam MP Maszlee Malik will contest the Layang Layang seat at next month’s Johor state elections.
In making the announcement, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim also said Maszlee — the former education minister — is the only MP from PKR who will be contesting in the March 12 polls.
Maszlee is said to be Pakatan Harapan’s menteri besar candidate if the coalition wins in the elections.

The Layang Layang state seat in Johor was won by UMNO in GE14 but with a very slim majority. Ignoring PAS who obtained a kacang putih 1339 votes, Onn Hafiz Ghazi (UMNO) obtained 7449 votes while Murugan Muthu Samy (PKR) won 7085 votes.
Mind, if PAS did not kacau, who would have received the 1339 votes?
Many Malays would have simply voted for "Orang Kita" even if they are not really UMNO supporters.
