Azmin’s an expert when it comes to audio, video recordings, says Anwar
Anwar Ibrahim says Azmin Ali’s claim on a recording of a purported conversation between him and Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is Azmin’s personal view.
PETALING JAYA: Anwar Ibrahim said Azmin Ali’s views on an audio recording purportedly of a conversation between him and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is Azmin’s personal view.
The PKR president, however, refused to elaborate.
“That’s his (Azmin’s) view. He is an expert when it comes to audio and video (recordings),” he said at a press conference.
Yesterday, Azmin, who was once Anwar’s deputy in PKR, said he was certain it was Anwar’s voice in the recording.
Both Zahid and Anwar have denied they were the ones in the audio recording and police have begun probing the case after receiving several reports.
The conversation allegedly took place after Umno’s annual general assembly last month and gives the impression the two leaders are working together.
