China dares Japanese officials to drink Fukushima wastewater

BEIJING: China is ratcheting up pressure over Japan’s plan to release treated water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant into the ocean, calling on government officials to drink the liquid to prove its safety.
“Japanese politicians said treated wastewater is ‘innocent’, why don’t they drink, cook & wash clothes with the water first?” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Twitter Thursday.
When questioned Friday about the comments, Japan Finance Minister Taro Aso sidestepped queries and said Fukushima water contamination levels are below international guideline limits.
Tokyo’s plan to release the wastewater into the Pacific Ocean announced Tuesday has been harshly criticised by China, Taiwan, South Korea and North Korea.
Aso has said the water seemed safe enough to drink. The US State Department indicated the plan appears to be in line with global discharge standards.
The International Atomic Energy Agency supported the planned releases, which wouldn’t start for another two years and are expected to last decades.
The US Food & Drug Administration maintains import restrictions on some food products from Fukushima due to potential radioactive contamination, according to the prefecture’s website.
There have long been calls to prove the safety of the treated groundwater that’s flowed through the wrecked Fukushima plant.
A ruling party official drank a glass of water in 2011 collected from inside the reactor building at the Fukushima Daiichi facility in a bid to back government claims that decontamination efforts were progressing.

The planned release of radioactive water from Fukushima is certainly opposed by many. I have been a critic of Nuclear Power for many years.

Tokyo electric ordered its contractors to recruit people to clean up the mess. The price started from 50K yen per day up to 200K yen per day. Even at that rate, not many people are willing to go in there. An officer of Fukushima had once said : " Nobody wants this job, because whoever comes here will only die ".

On March 4th, 2021, the US FDA ( Food & Drug Administration ), issued the No. 99-33 Import Alert, prohibiting the following Japanese foods from entering the United States : fresh milk, butter, milk powder, infant milk powder, and other dairy products; vegetables and their products; rice; whole wheat; fish; meat and poultry; clams; sea urchins; citrus, pomelo fruits; kiwis, etc. The reason is nuclear pollution. Blinkered Blinken, the US Sec of State, thanked Japan for its "transparency" in handling this dumping plan. It goes without saying that lapdog Japan would have discussed this dumping with Washington before the 'transparent' announcement, LOL
The US supports Japan's dumping of nuclear wastewater into the Pacific Ocean but on the other hand, it bans almost all Japanese food categories from importing to the US.
Imagine the uproar from the West and its media-in-cahoots if China were the one dumping such nuclear waste into the ocean....there would be full coverage with accusations of China planning to kill everyone on earth.

That is well known, Fukushima and surrounding prefectures. Fukushima itself will likely have to be depopulated for more than a century, just like Chernobyl.

Chernobyl nuclear core is currently dormant due to the final core explosion that completely destroyed the nuclear fission process.
Fukushima nuclear core is still actively going through the meltdown till this day. Thus it requires continuous outside water to cold the ongoing fission core. Unless this ongoing fission is terminated, the folding process would continue until the fission decay rubs it's course of million of yr!
The commonly quoted lies of ground water & rain generating this volume of contaminated waste water is just pure BS!
That's why the final proposed solution is to bomb the site with a mid size atomic bomb to exterminate the ongoing nuclear core fission process.
But Japan govt wouldn't want to take that action.
This tilly tally inaction - a meme-ed Nippon culture, has resulted in the current overhanging of the humongous volume of contaminated waste water. & increasing at a rate of more than 150 additional tons a day.
In the Chernobyl incident, the Russia had taken bold decision to terminate the nuclear core meltdown by initiated a core explosion. He also deployed many heroic Russians to coveted & buried the exposed site with soil & thick layer of concrete cement. Many of these personnel died of radioactive sickness within years.
It's just pure evilness in openly cursed Chernobyl accident while ignoring the braveness & decisiveness of Russians in saving Europe from a long nuclear fallout!
Compare with the Japan administration, we should know which administrators have the greater good of all over the selfishness of pigmies!
It has nothing to do with political idealism.
It has all to do with true humanity awareness of the uppermost order!
