Tok-Kok IGP exposed

Malaysia Chronicle:

LAUGHING STOCK – MAHATHIR CONTRADICTS HIS OWN ‘MYSTERY ISLAND’ TOP COP & CLOSEST CRONY DAIM: ‘WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE IS JHO LOW’

DR M DENIES ANY NEGOTIATIONS, CONTACT WITH NAJIB’S 1MDB CO-CONSPIRATOR – EVEN AS HIS HAND-PICKED IGP SWEARS JHO NOT IN CYPRUS BUT ON ‘AN ISLAND’ SOMEWHERE WHOSE GOVT HE IS TRYING TO NEGOTIATE WITH TO SECURE JHO’S RETURN

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Putrajaya did not know the whereabouts of Low Taek Jho and as such, was not holding direct negotiations with the fugitive businessperson.

This contradicts claims made by Mahathir as well as Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador and others who have repeatedly claimed to know Low’s location. In fact, Hamid today claimed Low was hiding out on an island.

Mahathir made the claim during an interview with the Financial Times (FT), published online today, at the sidelines of the Asean Summit in Bangkok.

The interviewer, FT’s Singapore and Malaysia correspondent Stefania Palma, had asked him if Malaysia was conducting its own negotiations with Low directly to retrieve 1MDB-linked assets.

“No (negotiations with Low). We have no contact with him. We don’t even know where he is,” Mahathir said.

This came on the back of a settlement reached between Low, more popularly known as Jho Low, and US authorities.

He also did not respond directly when asked if Low’s deal with the US – which would bring the Department of Justice’s total retrieval of assets and funds linked to the scandal to over U$$1 billion – came as a surprise.

“Well, the amount (allegedly misappropriated from 1MDB by Low) is much bigger. This is only a part of the money made used of by Jho Low to buy properties […] so we are still going after the rest of the money.”

The US deal, however, does not release Low and his family of any criminal culpability in the scandal.

IGP: Low on an island

In June, last year, Mahathir stated Malaysia did not have extradition arrangements in the country in which Low is believed to be hiding.

Mahathir’s close advisor, Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) chairperson Daim Zainuddin (photo, below), too, claimed last year that authorities here were in the know as to Low’s whereabouts that Low had contacted his officers seeking a deal for immunity in exchange for his locating 1MDB-linked assets.

In recent days, it was reported that Low, who is on the lam to evade charges in the US and Malaysia on 1MDB, had secured a Cyprus citizenship. It was also claimed he was hiding out in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Both claims have been denied by Hamid. The police chief today revealed that Low is believed to be “on an island“.

Hamid, according to Free Malaysia Today, said it would be impossible for Low to leave the country he is in.

“I’m using a lot of ways to bring him back, not just official […] semi-official ways as well.

“My patience has limits when I’m negotiating with the said country because we gave them our full cooperation in all issues on policing.

“I’m extremely disappointed when my request isn’t entertained, and they give excuses like ‘he went through plastic surgery’, ‘he has left and gone to Cyprus’ or ‘he has gone to UAE’, which doesn’t make sense at all,” the IGP reportedly said at a press conference today.

  1. A kerbau-ing issue of inconsequential trying its best to become relevant!

1st at the current world mobility, if there's a will they is a mean. Especially when the one u want to catch is highly loaded.

Mamak's take is just his usual style of diversions on multiple fronts to hide a truth.

Sometimes he knew where low was. But he also knew he was very mobile.

Negotiations had been carried out w/o any satisfactions to both parties. Daim was the key person in this horse tradings.

IGP knew where low was. But his fluidity of movement devoided him of his current & exact whereabout! He wasn't in the loop for negotiation bcoz someone, or both prime negotiators, didn't trust him. He is just the official face of how to catch a mouse on loose.

Whatever said & done, the critical issue SHOULD be when 1MDB kleptomaniac displays could be brought to rest. If by negotiating for 'loose' terms, as in the case of JD of US, so be it!

Pink face would be finished with low's outpouring detail of those multi-parties, multi-countries intricated transactions.

That SHOULD be the aim! And it's the quickest & final count to put 1MDB to the coffin & sealed the cover. And that's how democratic justice should be exercise - go for the ultimate taikor & punish him/her, don't waste more time & efforts - as what US JD did to negotiate to end a known fraud.

The unfortunate interplays of time wasting events perhaps, r to satisfy the intrinsic demand that the ketuanan freaks, zombies & blurred sotongs' outrages cries - that one of theirs was 'conned' by a cinabeng kau2 & that cinabeng must be punished!

    1. These ketuanan melayoo elites had been putting their paws into the country's kitty for 50 over years, enriching themselves fabulously, all with the tacit approval of the sheeple melayoo majority who considered such daylight plunder as rezeki, a blessing from the gods.

Now it was revealed that a cinabeng managed to partake in this robbery with a share that's equally fabulous ( although many suspected that Fei Chai is part proxy on behalf of the BigThief Pirate ), the howls of sheer outrage from the Supreme Race knows no bound....Shiiittt, sial betul, how dare a cinabeng encroached upon what is rightly belonging to the Melayoos, legit money or otherwise. It is the birthright of the Melayoos to own ALL the wealth of the country ( on land and in the sea ) and the inferior kaffirs should be on their knees eternally grateful to be given a place here to 'live here and to do business'. So hands off, cinabeng, how dare you presume to be on par with our Biggest Thief...yes he is a big bad thief, but he IS OUR Thief ! Old man even mentioned going to war to bring him back..but alas, we are not powerful enough, what with submarines that cannot tenggelam and fighter planes missing the engines, hehehehe.

  2. if fei chai can make a deal with the doj, how difficult do you all think it is for him to make another deal with malaysia? all he has to do is provide all the incriminating evidence against kt's idol on the quiet in exchange for his freedom and the igp's comical play acting, at the same time maddy did mention that the doj forfeiture were insufficient which will eventually be returned to Malaysia, notice how daim the numero uno negotiator have gone awfully quiet and the line of defence at the trial is that fei chai is the mastermind

    1. All they need is for a judge to agree that Fei Chai is the mastermind and that BigThief Pirate and his wonderful husband Rosmah are both under the spell of the fatty cinabeng. Off with his head...

  4. Its possible there is no real contradiction between Mahathir, and the IGP, except among those over-eager to attack both of them.

The two were really talking about 2 different subjects.

Its pretty much established, and admitted as much by that country's government, that Jho Low was issued a Cyprus passport.
In consideration for a generous "contribution" to that country's coffers.

That is not the same as saying he is residing on the island. He could be openly travelling in any number of countries, especially those which have an interest to pretend Dunno.

Low Teik Jho , nationality Cyprus, is not the subject of any Interpol arrest notice.... and the notorious jet-setter is free to come and go in many possible places around the world.

Who knows what other nation's passport he holds ?
Many doors can be opened, many regulations can be bent or set aside for a person who commands $ Billions.
