Lim Kit Siang spooked by DAP grassroots' anger

Kleptocrats will escape justice if Harapan dismantled, warns Kit Siang

Veteran DAP leader Lim Kit Siang (above) has warned that efforts to dismantle the Pakatan Harapan government will undoubtedly lead to kleptocrats and other corrupt individuals escaping justice.

At a speech delivered in Bintulu, Sarawak last night, Lim warned that Malaysia's economic trajectory was in peril because Vision 2020's goal of turning Malaysia into a developed state was not realised in time.

In order to propel Malaysia towards a developed nation, Lim said Malaysians must ensure that those responsible for kleptocracy in the past are brought to book so Malaysia could "make headway to become a leading nation of integrity".

"This is an important reason why Malaysians who care for a better life in the future for all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region, must unite to ensure that the war against kleptocracy and corruption is carried out to its logical conclusion.

"This can only be accomplished if the Harapan government remains intact, unwavering and committed to the goal of an united, just, democratic, harmonious and incorruptible Malaysia," said Lim, according to a copy of his speech made available to the press today.

Lim said Malaysia must be ranked among the top 30 in the world in terms of integrity within a decade, and urged all Malaysians to work single-mindedly towards this goal.

Do you know who Lim KS had addressed the above message to?

Malaysians?

Mahathir's Parti PRIBUMI?

Azmin Ali's PKR Dwarfs?

Malay Dignity Congress?

No, Lim KS' message of the necessity of the Harapan government remain[ing] intact was directed at his own party grassroots.

He's worried at the growing disenchantment within the DAP party members who have been bewildered by Lim Father, Son & Holy Coterie bodek-ing, pampering and kowtowing to Mahathir.

If you recall the Khat controversy and the eggs-throwing antics of an erstwhile ardent DAP supporter in Perak (Chaw Kam Foon), you can make a reasonable guess on how much DAP has lost support amongst the Chinese voters.

The loss of face by Minister Yeo (who bravely soldiered on as a minister), Wong Tack and supporters in the Lynas retention by Mahathir and his Kipas Minister was another DAP dismay.

And what about Maszlee's forever 'holistic' assessment of the UEC? His deputy minister has lost mucho face over this kerbau - the DAP tigress is now a pathetic pussycat.

The argument raging amongst DAP grassroots has been: WTF is the point of DAP being in government when it is turning out to be far worse than the MCA in the BN?

At least one can argue the MCA lost its equal status over several decades whilst the DAP became 2nd class immediately on assuming majority rule on 05 May 2018 but subservient to a far far far smaller Parti PRIBUMI.

The answer lies in the Lim Father & Son's over-eagerness to be in power for the 1st time in their lives, that they have been willing to kowtow, bend over and kiss Mahathir's toes.

There is a letter by a DAP person named Adam Tan to the MM Online titled DAP is being sabotaged from within (extracts as follows):

Yet, recent developments have made me fear for the future of the party. I believe that there are those in the party who want to see the DAP removed from Government.

It is perplexing to see 43 ‘grassroots leaders’ of DAP defending the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ comic book produced by former member Hew Kuan Yau. The 43, which included several Assemblypersons, claimed that Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malek is ‘dancing to the tune of Datuk Seri Najib Razak’ by banning the comic book from schools.

But it is clear that there is a faction in the DAP who want to see the DAP kicked out of Government. The defence of the Chinese comic book is the latest proof of these provocateurs within the party who want to achieve these goals. They are clearly trying to sabotage the party, and to disrupt the efforts to build a new Malaysia. They should know that if DAP is kicked out of Government, Umno will be back in power, and everything that Malaysians had worked had for will be for nothing.

Are they so naive to think that change is better achieved by being outside of Government? That the DAP will be more effective outside of the Government?

The issue of Superman Hew's comics has been a distraction of no significance in this particular issue, which is more about the current feelings amongst DAP grassroots that the DAP might as well be vigorous and courageous outside the government when it's eff-ing useless and ball-less within.

Hence we get the warning in the letter by Adam Tan (he could be Lim KS for all we know, wakakaka) that:

They [DAP grassroots] should know that if DAP is kicked out of Government, Umno will be back in power, and everything that Malaysians had worked had for will be for nothing.

Are they so naive to think that change is better achieved by being outside of Government? That the DAP will be more effective outside of the Government?

But it's too little too late as the grassroots have already been led by DAP leaders' gutless behaviour in government into believing it now makes no difference to DAP's (their) aspiration whether the party is in or outside government. Better be outside as the brave DAP than to be called MCA 2.0, a party they had criticised for aeons.

Hence Lim KS appealed to his party grassroots with his:

"This is an important reason why Malaysians who care for a better life in the future for all Malaysians, regardless of race, religion or region, must unite to ensure that the war against kleptocracy and corruption is carried out to its logical conclusion.

"This can only be accomplished if the Harapan government remains intact, unwavering and committed to the goal of an united, just, democratic, harmonious and incorruptible Malaysia"

Perhaps true but alas, from hypocrite Lim Kit Siang, kerbau lah!

  1. Lim Kit Siang is in a trap of his own creation, decades in the making.

The majority of Malaysian Chinese today are far more loyal towards the Peoples Republic of China than they are towards Malaysia.

So when this piece of blatant Beijing CCP propaganda is correctly refused approval for distribution in schools, Lim finds that the DAP grassroots are unreservedly supporting the Beijibg manipulation.

This Ketuanan Melayoo is echoing Zakar Naik and Rpuki : that Naik money launderer cum terrorist had claimed that the Indians here are more loyal to Modi than to Mahathir, and Rpuki had been shooting at the Chinese ever since he had gone to De Dak side.

Eversince Umno lost power, all these Ketuanan racists are coming out of the woodwork to demand Dignity, hehe. One of their demands at that Malay (In)Dignity Congress is the shameful demand for full scholarship for " anak anak kita" with just passes of C and D by more FLEXIBLE markings...LMAO ! Banyak maruah la tu...PODAH !

  2. Isn't it strange that a former Finance Minister who backed China's Belt and Road to the tune of 80 billion ringgit via an overpriced ECRL (details now emerging in court) now sees something wrong in the current FM supporting a comic book explaining it...(to be confirmed).....?

  3. Toonsie's government is strongly supporting China's Belt and Road initiative via a re-negotiated and substantially reduced cost ECRL, and with China agreeing to share 50% of the operational cost. This is a significant concession by both sides.

The comic book by Hew was a bad idea, red faces all round. DAP should cut ties with him completely. And we shouldn't involve schoolkids. But the bottom line is undeniable:

Malaysia supports China's Belt and Road, but with more caution than the previous BN government.

  4. Besides the 80 billion ECRL project that the BN government signed another huge Belt and Road project signed by Jibby's BN government and (sort of) supported by Toonsie's government is the 42 billion Malacca Gateway.

But now we are arguing over a comic book explaining Belt and Road?
    Come On....

Melaka Gateway project continues but questions remain on feasibility
    FMT Reporters -October 11, 2019

PETALING JAYA: Work on the RM42 billion Melaka Gateway project which began in 2015 has restarted after a series of setbacks although questions remain over the feasibility of the China-backed initiative.

A research paper by Singapore’s ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute noted that land reclamation works are running behind schedule and the port, one of the key components of the project, will not be operational this year.

Billed as the “largest and most ambitious” of China’s Belt and Road initiatives in Malaysia, the Melaka Gateway is set to be Southeast Asia’s largest private marina, housing a maritime high-tech park and a free trade zone on four islands, two of which will be reclaimed land.

The paper said although the project suffered a delay from last October to May this year, the problems had started even before the change in government after the 14th general election (GE14).

PM lauds China's Belt, Road initiative
    By Chok Suat Ling

BEIJING: TUN Dr Mahathir Mohamad joined a parade of world leaders yesterday for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), in a clear show of the country’s commitment and support for China’s ambitious move to redefine the global economy.

The prime minister was accorded the honour of presenting a speech at the opening, where he expressed his full support for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The forum, at the China National Convention Centre, was launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping, who conceptualised the BRI in 2013 to promote not just economic, but also cultural exchange.

The way Malaysia has dealt with the Asian economic superpower, by bringing what was seen as lopsided agreements back to the negotiating table, has heightened its profile, especially here where 37 world leaders are gathered to seek a consensus on BRI projects.

Malaysia’s successful handling of the East Coast Rail Link project, which is the centrepiece of China’s infrastructure push, has become a benchmark for other nations, making Dr Mahathir one of the most sought after world leaders here.

He was among the few heads of government, the only one from Asean, invited to present a speech at the opening. The other countries were Russia, Kazakhstan, Egypt and Chile.

“I am sure my country, Malaysia, will benefit from the project,” Dr Mahathir told representatives from more than 130 countries gathered here for the event. All 10 Asean leaders were present at this year’s forum. “Yes, the Belt and Road idea is great. It can bring the landlocked countries of Central Asia closer to the sea.

“They can grow in wealth and their poverty will be reduced. Everyone will benefit from the ease of travel and communication.”

He cautioned, however, that while the passages created would enrich littoral states, as much as “the great nations of the East and West”, threats to the states had unfortunately increased with oil spills and dumping of waste at sea.

“But these are designated international waters and the littoral states cannot collect toll to finance the work of cleaning them up.

“If we designate the Straits of Malacca as international waters, then the international community must assume responsibility for keeping the seas clear and unpolluted. But so far, the responsibility falls on littoral states.

“They are the ones to suffer pollution and they have to maintain a sizeable force to clean up the sea and their shores. It does not seem fair that poor littoral states should be burdened with this responsibility.”

He underscored the importance of keeping the passages opened up for trade and safe as terrorism and wars would make them incapable of delivering the benefits promised.

“The world claims to be civilised. But civilised people still resort to killing each other to resolve problems. Their capacity to destroy is far greater than their capacity to build.

“It is imperative that the world become less primitive and reject the use of force and massacres to benefit from the opening up of new passages for trade and freight that the BRI promises.”

Freedom of passage along these routes was important, he stressed, as bureaucratic hassles would slow the speed of travel. He was confident that modern technology would save much time. Dr Mahathir said technologies along the passage could be improved to respond to increased trade between the East and West.

“If ships can be built bigger, why can’t trains be equally big to carry more goods, raw materials and people? “Have we reached the limit in terms of the size and length of trains? I think not.

“If the rail gauge is widened, can’t we build bigger trains? Can’t we have longer trains, maybe a kilometre long? We have the technology and money to bring about improvements.”

    Concerns on local political developments
    by Group of Concerned Analysts

Outside the party, DAP and Lim Kit Siang are NOT that influential as some quarters, especially those who love to play the race card, made them out to be. LGE seems to be ta_nted and arrogant, and disliked by many, including a growing number of politicians inside DAP.

On Pakatan Harapan and the Government, it is still Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who is calling the shots. DAP may be a key player in the power game but they have been checkmated by all sides, and also put in a difficult position when it comes to supporting Anwar as the next Prime Minister.

On the other hand, Dr Mahathir might have also shot himself in the foot recently by making negative statements about India (a global power player) and refusing India's demand to hand over Zakir Naik. It's not just about the extra 5 percent import duty on palm oil or upsetting the Indian community here.

If India boycotts our palm oil and looks for alternatives, the impact on Felda would be quite severe and would erode the rural Malay base that Dr Mahathir is trying so hard to court now.

Dr Mahathir's recent comments about China and Hong Kong were also not well received there.

There is concern that Dr Mahathir may be losing his grip, getting a bit senile and may not be able to hold the country together or even be around for much longer.

Which is why Anwar Ibrahim and his supporters are putting a lot of pressure on Dr Mahathir to hand over the premiership soon, preferably before he goes for battery replacement of his pacemaker in December 2019, which can be complicated due to his age and fragile blood vessels.

It would be a disaster for the country if Anwar, the chameleon religious fundamentalist and immoral leader who politicised our education system, takes over.

Even if Anwar takes over, there would be a period of much instability and he may not be able to hold the Government and country together for long.

Malaysian politics may see many parties breaking up and forming new alliances around certain personalities.
East Malaysian parties may not be kingmakers anymore unless they stick together.
The political situation would be fluid
The upside would be greater choices and diversity for the public to chose from while
The downside would be instability and possibility of frequent change of government.
A healthy balance needs to be struck.

The country really needs strong, honest, experienced, wise, competent and just politicians with clear direction, vision and foresight to lead, manage and govern.

The multiracial 'ship' that we are all in, is getting directionless and may be heading for troubled waters.

Point A: "There is concern that Dr Mahathir may be losing his grip, getting a bit senile and may not be able to hold the country together or even be around for much longer."

Point B: "Even if Anwar takes over, there would be a period of much instability and he may not be able to hold the Government and country together for long."

    Neither point is correct.

Doesn't say much about the calibre of the "analysts" either.

    Let's address each in turn.

  7. (continue..)

Point A: Madey is NOT senile. Far from it.

He has had a plan from Day One.

You all remember the "Save Malaysia" movement? Signatures? Petition? Ring a bell?

    Here is the bad news:

This was NEVER, EVER, about saving Malaysia. Not for one second, in Madey's mind, was it about "saving Malaysia".

What you suckers failed to realise that this is merely a hostile takeover for the position of CEO of UMNO Baru (1987) Sdn Bhd. The Founder and first CEO got very jealous of the Bugis pirate who was promoted to the CEO's chair. So, the Founder and first CEO formulated a plan to regain his empire. All the billions in assets. And control over the party. You get it now?

There was ONLY ONE OBJECTIVE for Madey: Removal of Najib.

    That's it.

    Removal of Najib.

Not to save Malaysia from kleptocracy, but to plunge Malaysia back into it.

    Bersatu / PPBM?

That's merely a SPV for the takeover. Once the merger happens, there will be no Bersatu. It has served its purpose. That, too, was a part of Madey's plan. He played you all for fools.

2.6 billion ringgit is what the Yanks call "chump change". Kacang putih. Amateur stuff.

Madey is laughing at Najib. Kemonlah bro, 2.6 billion ringgit only? Malu lah. Sit back and watch, starting with the PLUS deal plus (no pun intended) a few others coming up.

    Madey, senile?

He played you all for fools.

Point B: "Even if Anwar takes over, there would be a period of much instability and he may not be able to hold the Government and country together for long."

Again, the "analysts" have missed the point completely.

Madey NEVER intended to hand power to Anwar.

    Not for one second.

Sure, he said so to international media, on video, in print, whatever.

But lying comes as naturally to Madey as breathing.

"Tak dengar, lah". "Tak ingat, lah". And the sweet, cunning little old man smile.

    Madey is not senile.

    Phase 2 is this:

    Internal destruction of Pakatan Harapan.

Set fire to the house, then walk away.

That is what he is doing now: Madey is carrying out the internal destruction of Pakatan Harapan.

    Nothing is an accident.

The khat issue, the thambi roundup, the refusal to hand over Zakir, the strange inconsistency in the IGP's actions, you name it.

This is all part of the master plan.

There is more to come, and worse to come, so be ready for it.

You have to remember that a leopard cannot change its spots; and the snake known as Madey has never changed its skin (unlike other members of that genus.)

He is the father of Divide & Rule. 50 years of it, in fact, since the removal of TAR. Madey is not going to evolve.

    Oh, by the way:

When he says "I need more time to fix the economy", that's a lie too.

Madey is just waiting for the former CEO of UMNO Baru (1987) Sdn Bhd to be jailed.

Then he will cause more friction between the parties, between the races, and crawl away with his pet goat, pet semburit, and pet Jambu Go-Jek.

Please understand one point: THIS HAS BEEN THE PLAN LITERALLY SINCE DAY ONE.

    The destination of his crawling?

Where else but UMNO Baru (1987) Sdn Bhd, although it will be rebranded. Madey's ego must be satisfied; perhaps H2O and Hadi will need to give him a ribbon that says "Uniter of the Malays".

After that, H2O, Hadi, Madey and PASTUBEROK will carry on robbing the Malays blind.

    Some things never change.
