Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam has accused Daim Zainuddin of threatening former minister Mustapa Mohamed with court charges.
He alleged that Daim gave Mustapa an ultimatum, which is to quit Umno or be hauled to court for receiving funds from former premier Najib Abdul Razak.
Malaysiakini has contacted Mustapa and Daim, who is a confidant of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, for comment on the allegation.
Lokman claimed that the ultimatum came after MACC purportedly questioned Mustapa over the RM2.6 billion found in Najib's bank account.
"He was told to quit Umno or face charges in court," the Umno leader told reporters outside the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex this afternoon.
Lokman was at the complex with some 30 others to show support for Najib, who is in the Sessions Court to face multiple charges over the RM2.6 billion, which the prosecution claims originated from 1MDB.
He said there was nothing wrong for Mustapa and Umno leaders to receive funds from Najib's account, which he claimed was used as a trust fund for the party.
"What is wrong with receiving money from Najib? He was the Umno president.
“Is there anything wrong for him (Mustapa) to receive money to be used, for example, for Orang Asli welfare programmes?" Lokman asked.
Najib has claimed that the RM2.6 billion was a donation from a Saudi royalty.
Lokman also accused Mahathir of using MACC and linked it to a possible showdown between the premier and his designated successor Anwar Ibrahim.
According to him, MACC is questioning numerous Umno leaders and MPs over the funds in Najib's account.
He claimed this was being done to prevent Umno MPs from supporting Anwar in the event if he moves a no-confidence vote against Mahathir in Parliament.
Quizzed further, he declined to name the Umno leaders who were questioned.
On Tuesday night, Mustapa, who is the MP for Jeli, announced that he has resigned from Umno. The next morning, former minister and Kimanis MP Anifah Aman also threw in the towel.
We all know the rising political temperature between Mahathir and a now-more invigorated Anwar who has been lately asserting himself and becoming more prime-ministerial, wakakaka.
There could be many reasons for the resurrection of the 'old' (or earlier) Anwar, one of which would undeniably be his fear of being kow-tim-ed again.
As I had often referred to the saying or proverb befitting his tragic career, I'll now say it again for as a reminder, that for Anwar's prime-ministerial aspiration, there's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip.
Hillary's bid for the US presidency would be a classic example of "There's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip" |
The proverb implies that even when a good outcome or conclusion seems certain, shit can still happen (as spilling the drink before the cup reaches the lips).
Anwar was "shacked" kaukau in 1998 when he was almost the PM, and was sent to prison for 9 years until AAB in 2004 had the court review his case; again he was "buggered" in 2012 when he was on the cusp of becoming MB Selangor (and the PM from that). Though he was originally acquitted, his acquittal was overturned by the courts in 2014. He was again sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
Recently, with the emergence of the new Pakatan Harapan government, he was pardoned by HM the Agong. He was told to wait for Mahathir's 2 years' PM-ship, but Mahathir seems to have changed his mind on his promise, voicing that he may hang on beyond 2 years.
For Anwar, it is that dreadful déjà vu of "there's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip".
He has even alluded to accepting help from UMNO, indicating he may ally his PKR with the grand olde party to confront Mahathir, his old unending Nemesis at OK Corral - such is his fear and desperation at what he sees as Mahathir's notorious treachery.
But that's on the part of Anwar. What about the Old Man who has stated he "may" (or more likely "will") stay BEYOND 2 years?
I doubt he gives a fCk about Anwar and the latter's concerns. He is seen to be moving two steps ahead of Anwar.
As Malaysiakini has reported:

Hahahahahahaha....You are really dredging the bottom of the sewage tank to be taking Lokman Adam as a credible source...
ReplyDeleteyou should direct you criticism to Malaysiakini
DeleteMalaysiakini is a news portal.
DeleteIt is accurately reporting what Lokman Adam says without drawing conclusions from it, as is its duty.
You, on the other hand, have concluded this is real evidence that Mahathir is preparing to betray Anwar Ibrahim. ....drowning clutching at straws..
in other words, you're saying that what Lokman said is correct, since Malaysiakini has reported it as so
Deleteand if a blogger wishes to extend on that, that's exactly my right and what I've done in as much as many of you believe in this bull and that cow
What this bull and that cow?
DeleteIf a blogger wishes to extend on that, fine, that's exactly yr right. And when u've done drawing twisted conclusion from yr extension, then it's our right to tembak/hentam u kau2 as a fake news propagator in WWW!
So, again whose bull & cow r u farted out from yr thin air?
CK.....That's why this motherfucker cheebye kaytee almost stay anonymous with no picture, no id, no credentials.......
DeleteFuck
"in other words, you're saying that what Lokman said is correct," that's Ktemoc crap.
DeleteMalaysiakini reported in an accurate manner what Lokman Adam said. No conclusions were drawn by Malaysiakini. The guy could well be lying. Mkini's job was to report what he said.
The Crappy conclusion came from Ktemoc.
dei dei, stop accusing me of being your motherfucker - I did not fCk her ever - stop dreaming of having me as your father
DeleteMonsterball, you consider it "crappy" only as per your dedak-ised duties
DeleteThe only reason Tok Pa never made it to the top of the UMNO food pyramid is because he is too straight. Honest, hardworking, intelligent, humble, approachable. I can't imagine what Daim would be threatening him with.
ReplyDeleteIt would be sad to see him get entangled in Najib's 1MDB woes.
Now that the charges have been laid against Najib (probably more to come) I wonder when the beneficiaries will be charged for receiving and enjoying the dirty money? Follow the gravy train, the Nissan vans, the cash handouts to buy support, the pink diamonds, the condos in Bukit Bintang, the exotic beauty treatments etc etc. No wonder TT appointed Go Go Gopal as prosecutor, otherwise he will be spending all his time in court, rather than doing his AG job.
ReplyDeleteTua Tiow Sai: I AM NOT A THIEF
ReplyDeletePorky Pig: LET ME BE CLEAR. I AM INNOCENT
Arul: NO MONEY WAS MISSING.
1MDB BOD: TOTAL SILENCE
MCA/MIC/Gerakan/ETC: WE KNOW NOTHING
Don't be surprised folks, the finger pointing will begin soon.

Shafee excited by ‘Billion Dollar Whale’, says book suggests Najib was misled
Published on 20 September 2018
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 — The book Billion Dollar Whale has suggested that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was misled or cheated by Low Taek Jho, the former’s lead defence lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah said today.
Shafee said he had read the book authored by two Wall Street Journal reporters on the billionaire also known as Jho Low, adding that it would be interesting if raised in court as evidence.
“I am actually excited by the book,” he told reporters.
“If the book can be made evidence, it’s very interesting because this book confirms most likely — they said, this is their opinion — Jho Low had in fact misled people like Datuk Seri Najib.
“The book says so,” he added.
Najib claimed trial today to more charges of money-laundering and corruption offences over 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) funds.
“So it is a very likely event in any situation. Just because you acted in a certain way, it doesn’t mean that you have not been unduly influenced or you were not misled.
“That’s how people get cheated. In any case, people get cheated because somebody has misled them into doing it,” he added.

"In actual fact, what the US Attorney-General Jeff Sessions described as 'kleptocracy at its worst' goes far back to 2009, a few months after Najib became the sixth prime minister of Malaysia". ~ LKS
DeleteI am just curious, how much money was squandered/laundered or kleptocracied since 2009? The sum total should be more than 42B then? The CIA/Jeff Sessions should have published the record? No?
The cost of Melaka Gateway project is about RM52B. Are we sure there is no money laundering or pemutihan wang haram? Perhaps, the CIA/DOJ should endevour/assist to check and comb through all the SBLCs/financial instruments/sources of funds that come in and out in regard to this Melaka Gateway project. Any takers to chase the white whale, TS?
DeleteWakakakaka... Melaka Gateway was promoted and facilitated by UMNO former Malacca Chief Minister Idris Haron.
DeleteSo, the day after rumours arose he is quitting UMNO, now there are calls from UMNO supporters for the project to be investigated....
Baguslah...he may well be corrupt too.
In good time, but the queue is long.
Attorney General Tommy Thomas has said there are Hundreds of suspicious Government related deals which have to be investigated.
First Things First. Get Najib, the head of the Snake first.
The rest of the Snake can be taken out step by step.
YB Anthony Loke said the Melaka Gateway project can go on. Hmmm...
DeleteYup, triple-tongue snake Shafee would surely be excited by the book, just because one of the mat salleh writers gave his opinion that Jibby Pirate was mislead by Fatty. The naive white boy writer went on to say that Jibby is definitely corrupted, but only as far as he needed to lay his hands on some funds to oil his political party UMNO, that's all. And also, since he wanted 'to make his wife happy' as he loved her so much, he wanted her to enjoy a more luxurious lifestyle with a little of the 1MDB loot.
DeleteObviously, this white boy writer is clueless how the 'easily misled' Jibby had had training in corruption ever since his days as Defence Minister ( remember the Scorpene submarine and his buddy-in-murder Abdul Razak Baginda ?), how this 'baffled, easily misled' Pirate bribed his entire cabinet and the 191 Division Heads to shut up their gaps by the sharing of the loot, with the Pirate keeping the lion share of course. And how our 'dazed and easily fooled' Pirate raided the cookie jars of Felda, Felcra, EPF, PNB, LTAT, KWAP, TH, and many more...a long long list. Maybe we should invite that writer boy over to see the real Jibby and his 'lovely' wife in action.
Yes, let's see how the loyar burok will bring this book to the court as 'evidence' since he is so excited about this piece of straw he is grasping to clear his client. Maybe he could also somehow show the court that all the red files discovered by LGE was also the doing of that Fatty mastermind and he had somehow misled Jibby to do him a favor to keep them hidden in his Finance Ministry, wakakakaka.
Looks like the loyar burok and his buatbodo client might have a sudden change of strategy....that now it is no longer a donation from a Saudi prince but that Fatty had actually stole the money all on his own and had very cleverly pinned it on our 'innocent' ex Pirate PM ? Even a combination of Hollywood cum Bollywood script couldn't beat this real life drama in our beloved corrupted land. I suppose we should wait for the next spin by that manchester monster to change tack again...that it is NOT a donation after all, wakakakaka...trust that king of spin to pull it off, with his choir crowd, that is !
Well....since we already get so much fake news from Ktemoc Konsiders....
ReplyDeletehttps://www.msn.com/en-my/news/national/dont-donate-to-so-called-rm35-mil-fund-najib/ar-AAAo3ca?ocid=spartanntp
Now there is a fake Donate for Najib's Defence Fund....the promoter is asking people to deposit direct into his bank account.
Apparently, some gullible guppies have already deposited money in the bank account. Perhaps Ah Moc ?
Expect the money to disappear as soon as he feels he has receive enough...
I wonder why you and your dedak-ised ilks don't become novelists - you could have given JK Rowling a run for her money
DeleteSourced from MSN News. Go argue with Microsoft ler...
DeleteI'm speculating on Ah Moc, because he loves Najib so much.
Where Ah Moc is concerned, the dedak flows from one direction only.....from paymaster Buatbodo to Ah Moc, never the other way around...Ah Moc should know better, he won't be hookwinked by that fake donation drive, since he knows full well how deep a pocket Buatbodo has.
DeleteWakakaka...every day, Ah Moc wakes up revitalized, rolling up his sleeves to do bad, and go to bed at night to think of more bad and wicked stuff and up again the next day to do more mischief....wow, what a 'wonderful' life....write crappy stuff and earn oodles to retire in luxury. Mmm...some do have all the luck ? Ah Moc has the foresight not to show his face and who he really is, given the nefarious nature of his work, hehe
i think they quit bec there is no more fund, they got to source for new fund.

ReplyDeleteProminent reformist lawyer Art Harun appointed new EC Chairman.
We finally have an honest EC Chairman , the perhaps the first in decades.
As they say , personnel is policy.
Kudos to the Pakatan Harapan government.
Art should start investigating the millions UMNO & other BN parties received from 1MDB, or more precisely from the personal accounts of Tua Tiow Sai. If there is breach of election laws then the EC should take steps to punish the guilty parties.
ReplyDeleteIs investigating the millions UMNO & other BN parties received from 1MDB the new job of the EC? wakakaka
DeleteWell, checking the quantum of the election budget spent per constituency IS within the scope of EC work.
DeleteFrom there, many mother lodes of dirty money from ALL sources would be discovered.
Wakakakakaka…

ReplyDeleteWe will finally get the IPCMC, under PM 7, though PM 4 was at PM 5's time actually dead set against it.
Things have changed...
Illegal funding, cash handouts to buy votes etc are certainly within EC powers to investigate, like the fleet of Nissan vans for UMNO Johor used for campaigning, purchased with money from 1MDB, even Tua Tiow Sai admitted the money was used for that. Tok Pa also admitted Kelantan UMNO received funds for elections.
ReplyDeleteFrom the charges read out yesterday Najib issued payments in excess of 100 million to UMNO. EC should check and confirm if this money is spent above board.
ReplyDeleteHere is another intrigue being played out equally worthy for a JK Rowling novel.
ReplyDeleteNotice why TDM never even took action against Lokman even though he threatened revenge on TDM's children? Anyone else would have been met with immediate trump up charges overbite and hauled up?
Lokman Adam was actually a Trojan Horse planted first by PKR then switched sides to TDM after GE 14 to ensure all UMNO's corrupt dealings are collected to ensure UMNO's warlords are all destroyed or switched over to support Bersatu as the heir to UMNO.
So many UMNO warlords after GE 14 were threatened with corruption charges to ensure Bersatu gain support first at State level either by being forced to become independent ADUNs or wait till the time is ripe to switch parties.
East Malaysian MPs and ADUNs of BN were also not spared. When Pekmoh was also forced to concede to TDM others like Hishammuddin, Nazri, KJ, Shahidan, Tok PA, Anipah etc are all just small fishes of part of the grand design in eventual replacement of UMNO by Bersatu.
But time is not on the side of TDM and seeing this, Mahathirists are ramping up the timeline of Bersatu to be the Numero Uno as soon as possible.
Was there a deal made between Mahathirists, Lokman, Zaid, Azmin, Daim, Warisan, PBB, Hadi in the New newer Malaysia at expense of AI?
Lokman Adam still doesn't realise, even after his rejection by the Sg Kandis By-election voters, that he is a liability to UMNO every time he opens his mouth.
DeleteWakakakaka……

This melayu palsu IS playing the same role as the tok mamak bendahara during the final day of Malacca sultanate.
