Of PMX benefiting big time from “a dysfunctional opposition, not that his Madani gov’t is so great”
ALTHOUGH he claimed to have been grilled by both the Keluar Sekejap hosts for close to two hours, some so-called Madani government backers shone the spotlight on the jackpot question by co-host and former UMNO information chief Shahril Hamdan to Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.
The question centred on “@anwaribrahim’s biggest asset is not his Cabinet team but Perikatan Nasional (PN) due to the opposition coalition’s dysfunctional state” has left the Opposition leader struggled to reason that “perhaps Shahril rarely follows parliamentary proceedings, hence having no qualms to believe in such criticism”.

Tapi respon Hamzah kelakar 
This has prompted the Madani government backer StratCommX (@StratCommX) to describe Hamzah’s response as “rather funny” following which a commenter observed that even Shahril found the reply to his friendly fire as “funny till he (Shahril) was trying to contain himself from laughing”.
On a more serious note, one commenter defended Shahril as having been very observant with parliamentary proceedings to have raised the question while finding it difficult to imagine that “the best deemed brain in the opposition block answered in such a pathetic manner”.
Another commenter regarded the 68-year-old Larut MP as having undermined the former UMNO Youth vice-chief “who is equally analytical being an academician himself”.
A few commenters who seemingly have pro-Madani inclination, described PN’s performance in the Dewan Rakyat as “very clown-like” or harbouring amotion to be the government of the day but “unable to get the job done”.
A few even praised Shahril – who is very often overshowed by his co-host KJ (Khairi Jamaluddin) in their weekly podcast – as “very brainy, sharp and able to argue straight to the point” till a veteran politician like Hamzah felt jolted.
At the end of the day, one commenter hit the nail on the head by implying that “a dysfunctional opposition may be an advantage to PMX but it is a huge catastrophe for the country”. – March 24, 2025
