‘This is what the occupation is throwing at hospitals – missile shrapnel’

Earlier a series of missiles struck near the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, where thousands of wounded and displaced Palestinians were sheltering close to the facility.

Holding up missile shrapnel to the cameras, Dr Atef Al Kahlout, Indonesian Hospital director said from inside the facility: “This is what the occupation is throwing at hospitals.

“Let the world to bear witness what the occupation targets are. In 24 hours the hospital will be out of service. It seems the Israeli occupation forces are not happy with the persistence of the Indonesian Hospital nor the steadfastness of the people of northern Gaza,” he said.

“They are settling scores by targeting unarmed civilians, injured people, and medical staff whose rights are guaranteed by international law and by human rights organisations.

“It seems the world is still blind, deaf and dumb to these atrocities. More than 16 bombs fell in less than five seconds. Look at this kind of damage sustained, and the Palestinian people are still steadfast; we will continue persisting until they vanquish the occupation.”
