Pro-PAS think tank likens Nga Kor Ming to “monitor lizard hungry for carcass”

THE Darulnaim Research Centre has chastised the unity government for having run out of issues for the upcoming state polls till having to stoop so low to pounce on the issue of “Kak Lah stealing water from the fire hydrant”.

The think tank’s political analyst Ahmad Fahmi Mokhtar has described the action of Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming to make Rantau Panjang MP Datuk Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff his target as a “major mistake”.

“Not only the Rantau Panjang people but many Malaysians also know the hard work put in by YB Kak Lah as a MP,” wrote Ahmad Fahmi in HarakahDaily.

“Only the desperate PH-BN (Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional) faction pretended to be blind on the eyes and blind at heart by accusing her of water theft. Funnier is that the issue was seized by the minister himself. It seems that ministers in the Madani government era are of cybertrooper level.”

Added the political analyst: “Nga with his gluttony is like a hungry lizard handed a chicken carcass.”

Ahmad Fahmi also took a jibe at the Teluk Intan MP in that his “’resolute measure” to protect fire hydrants from people in need of clean water has ultimately backfired on him.

“Nga had to hide his head when a photo of the fire department turning on the fire hydrant to help people in need of water in Rantau Panjang by using contract water trucks under Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) became widespread.”

Ahmad Fahmi also questioned the practice of “double standards” as there were several incidents of water shortages in Penang where residents had resorted to using water from fire hydrants as an alternative.

He highlighted two cases:Residents of Block D Phase II UDA Tanjung Tokong Flats, Georgetown had to wash their cooking utensils at the fire hydrant due to water pump disruption from March to April 2023; and
Almost 1,000 residents of Block 24, Flat Bukit Gedung, Bayan Baru relied on water from the fire hydrant because there was water supply disruption for more than 72 hours in July 2022.

“Many netizens are questioning why Penangites are allowed to tap water from fire hydrants when there is a water supply disruption. But when in Kelantanese use water from a fire hydrant which is turned on by firemen themselves, they are accused of stealing water?” Ahmad Fahmi pointed out.

“Are politicians still not satisfied having witnessed BN persecuted Kelantan previously? Does DAP also want to persecute Kelantan the way BN did before?” – May 10, 2023
