YouGov: Harapan likely to win largest vote share
GE15 | UK-based market research giant YouGov has revealed that the parliamentary elections will likely not yield a clear winner.
However, its survey between Nov 8 and Nov 14 suggested that Pakatan Harapan will likely receive a large share of votes (35 percent).
This is followed by Perikatan Nasional (20 percent) and BN (17 percent).
According to YouGov, they surveyed 2,687 people, chosen through an "active sampling technique" by their "online panel".
They claimed that the respondents chosen are representative of the population by age, gender, ethnicity, education levels and the electorate.
According to YouGov's website, such surveys are conducted online.
Some domestic market research firms promise random stratified sampling and that their surveys are conducted through the phone by human enumerators.
Muhyiddin edges Anwar
YouGov said PN leader Muhyiddin Yassin was viewed positively by 33 percent of respondents followed by Anwar (29 percent) and caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob (22 percent).
Respondents were less positive about PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang (16 percent) and Pejuang president Dr Mahathir Mohamad (14 percent).
Meanwhile, cost-of-living issues were of greatest importance to 51 percent of respondents followed by government integrity (38 percent agreed).
"Income was the topic of third greatest importance (37 percent), and more paramount among younger voters between the ages of 18 and 34 (47 percent).
"Close to three in ten voters prioritised stability (28 percent), while one in five held protection of bumiputera rights in high regard (22 percent)," said YouGov.
It will , again, lead to a BN and PN Kerajaan Melayu, another 5 years of
ReplyDeleteNational stagnation, more UMNO and PAS fighting each other to be dominant.
