‘Superman’ Hew arrested after viral video
Controversial speaker Hew Kuan Yew, or better known as Superman Hew, left DAP in 2016.
PETALING JAYA: Controversial speaker Hew Kuan Yew, or better known as Superman Hew, was arrested earlier today after a video of him telling an audience at a Pakatan Harapan ceramah that the Chinese community should take advantage of Malay disunity went viral last week.
Pahang police chief Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf confirmed the former DAP man’s arrest.
In a post on his Facebook page, Hew said he was arrested by Raub police.
Hew left DAP in 2016. After last week’s video went viral, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said Hew’s stance did not reflect that of PH.
