Senior citizen dies after voting in Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — [1.36pm] An elderly man was found dead in his car outside the SJKC Batu 11 polling centre in Cheras today.
According to Sin Chew Daily, passers-by called an ambulance after realising something was amiss.
It is thought that the 79-year-old had returned to his car after casting his ballot, as his finger was marked with indelible ink.
According to the report, paramedics who arrived at the scene confirmed the man had died before taking his body to the hospital.
[1.25pm] Approximately 42 per cent of eligible voters in the 15th general election have fulfilled their responsibilities as of noon today, according to the latest data shared by the Election Commission (EC) via Twitter.
This is the equivalent of 8.78 million voters.
The voting process is going smoothly nationwide with the public observing the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the EC, including the presence of Health Ministry staff to assist voters who are Covid-19 positive.
