GPS to form coalition with PN, BN and GRS, says Abang Jo

GPS chairman Abang Johari Openg says the main focus is stability and the wellbeing of the people.

PETALING JAYA: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) said it will form a coalition with Perikatan Nasional (PN), Barisan Nasional (BN) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to establish the next government.

GRS chairman Abang Johari Openg said they decided to work with the three coalitions to ensure a stable government is formed as soon as possible.

Abang Johari’s statement comes hours after it was reported that PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had meet with the Sarawak premier to discuss the formation of a federal government.

None of the coalitions were able to win enough seats to form the government on its own.

As it stands, PH, together with Muda, have the highest number of seats with 82.

This was followed by PN (73), Barisan Nasional (30), GPS (22), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (6), Warisan (3), Parti Bangsa Malaysia (1) and two independents.

FMT has reached out to GRS and BN leaders for confirmation.

You won't get stability when you put BN and PN together. And don't forget Abang Johari Openg, PN includes PAS too. Do you want to work with the lebais?

  1. If GPS decides to support PN, it is simply because of self interest.

Because by doing so, you are giving PAS a bigger door to step into Sarawak and Sabah and propagate their toxic brand of racial and religious politics.
