KOTA BARU, Oct 10 — The authenticity of an audio recording said to resemble the voice of a PAS leader questioning party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s leadership must first be proven before any further action can be taken.
PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the party was also open to any police investigation if there are reports lodged on the matter.
“As a man of law, I will not comment based on assumptions as they need to be proven first.
“If there is a police report, let the police investigate. We have the law and we do not act on speculation,” the Kota Baru MP told reporters here today.

kt notes:
What about the taping of allegedly Rosmah's "Can I advise you something" released by Latheefa Koya's MACC?
chosen personally by Mahathir out of the blue to be MACC Boss, Latheefa was already known as among the PKR (anti-Anwar) 'Dökkálfar Dwarfs'
look at her "salad bowl" (ribbons-medals) - when/where did she earn those? 😀😁😂😠😡
pro-Azmin anti-Anwar 'Dwarfs' above (Latheefa not in photo)
pro-Anwar anti-Azmin 'Cats' below
T'was a phone conversation between Rosmah and then-PM Najib. Not only was the national security issue ignored by the Mahathir government and the Police, that of covertly taping the phone conversation of a nation's PM, MACC chief Latheefa Koya (then with unbridled authority and shame) said at the associated press conference the audio clips were authentic and showed conspiracy at the highest level.
There we had it - the allegedly Najib-Rosmah tapes of no national security concern, "verified" personally by Latheefa (unlike Mahathir & IGP in the gay sex video tape), and concluded as "showing conspiracy at the highest level" - how?
That was the Mahathir government, sadly comprising also the so-called "principled" DAP. If that couldn't be concluded as an anti-Najib weaponized tape, what was it then?
don't forget that Anwar went to jail and received a 'black eye' during police interrogation when Mahathir was PM
Two different administrations (Harapan vs. PM/BN) and totally different circumstances - one with probable cause indicating a crime being committed - and the latest one while politically explosive has nothing to do with criminal activity).
ReplyDeleteThere is a fair bit of legal precedent in Commonwealth countries that the need to expose crimes being or been committed may override privacy or even security concerns.
Thanks to Latheefa's quick thinking the "can I advise you something" tape was exposed in a press conference before any possible cover-up. If not exposed we may end up like the "MACC investigating itself" $6 million theft spy network coverup, evidence may be swept under the carpet, still no Justice for Teoh Beng Hock...etc etc...
ReplyDeleteAlso the Sheraton Sandakan tape that was viralled that KT likes to replay weekly for Ulangkaji....ha ha ha...imagine if that tape was given to the polis for "official investigation", kept under wraps, we may never get to enjoy watching it and play "teka-teki" ha ha ha....
