PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is looking for Bersatu’s Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad to help with an investigation.

MACC said the businessman’s last known address was A16-2 Sunway Palazzio, Jalan Sri Hartamas 3, Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

In a statement today, it urged those who know of Adam Radlan’s whereabouts to contact investigating officer G Sharan Raj at 014-3560771 or email him at sharanraj@sprm.gov.my.

Adam Radlan was acquitted of all 12 charges in August after the prosecution accepted his offer to pay a RM4.1 million compound under Section 92(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

He had been charged with five counts of soliciting and accepting up to RM9.9 million in bribes to help two companies secure projects linked to the Perikatan Nasional government’s Jana Wibawa programme, an economic empowerment initiative for Bumiputera contractors launched during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He also faced seven charges of laundering involving more than RM3 million.

Last week, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok asked why Adam Radlan had been allowed to keep RM5.8 million in bribes after paying a compound which led to his acquittal of corruption and money laundering charges.
