The MACC is investigating the flow of monies received by the founders of FashionValet Sdn Bhd, said its chief commissioner Azam Baki.
He also confirmed that the founders, Vivy Yusof and Fadzarudin Anuar, who are married, were present at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya yesterday to give their statements.
He said his team is obtaining explanations regarding the methods of receiving and spending the investments from Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB).
Azam (above) said that until now, his team has taken statements from nine witnesses, including the couple.
He did not rule out the possibility that the couple would return today to continue recording their statements with the MACC.
He also said that so far, no arrests have been made and all witnesses have given their full cooperation to the commission.
Earlier yesterday, a vehicle carrying the couple arrived at the MACC headquarters at 2.30pm, and did not leave even up till 8pm.
Yesterday was the fifth day the couple had their statements taken. This came after the MACC detected a number of suspicious transactions in the investigation involving the RM43.9 million investment loss suffered by Khazanah and PNB in FashionValet.
Prior to this, Azam reportedly said his investigation was focused on identifying the FashionValet founders’ assets and financial sources.
Previously, the media reported that about 60 boxes containing financial documents seized from FashionValet, Khazanah, and PNB last Thursday needed to be thoroughly examined, especially the agreements between the three parties.
